Oh! so sorry to know that this happens to your gecko. To control the molds you may reduce irrigations and increase air flow.

@@rubbertears1328 yeah you can pick up a basic (still beautiful) crestie for 30-75 dollars on morph market and most pet stores.

I used to not really care for them. They are cool but a bit default. Lately they have been growing on me but i highly doubt I'll ever get one as I prefer gargoyle geckos and Madagascarn day geckos

I love geckoes but i can't find any stores in my country that sells them

HI, my gargoyle gecko isn't eating and I don't know why !!! He is roughly 1 year old and I've not weighed him just yet . I have changed his pangea loads of times and I can't see him eating it like usual. Tbh I'm quite worried. I wouldn't say he is an ideal size as well. I don't know why this is happening or what'sq up with him and hopefully you can tell me.

I don’t think you should give any animals chocolate, especially not a gecko

So i got a crested geko and we've got some paste and some crickets tho hes only eat 3 crickets and 0 paste

I PERSONALLY have had issues with mine eating gecko fruit based food only if its put on his face i know for a fact he eats bugs but the fruit mine has a issue with but still make shore i feed him myself by hand/wooden rod but he WILL NOT eat it on his own in his cage i blame this on petsmarts feeding habits

Hey I have one question, see I'm looking for a pet I can keep in my room to make me company and was wondering: are Cresty Geckos or Leopard Geckos noisy at night? I know they are crepuscular but heard they barely make any noise if none. Still wanted to check with someone who knows about Geckos!

No,they aren't noisy at all,my leopard gecko used to be very active at night but you barely realise them,maybe you hear them running around their enclosure one or twice per night (which noise can be reduced by using different materials as ground)what can be noisy is crickets,which are used to feed leopard geckos not crested,but I liked the crickets at night,gave me a feeling of being in nature(again nothing too noisy but if you like dead silent rooms to sleep, crickets can be annoying)hope it helps!

I would love one but the tank and supplies needed are expensive and I don’t want to buy cheap stuff from like dollar tree I would want to give it the best possible life.

the tank, imo, is the most expensive part! besides that, you can absolutely make a comfortable tank on a budget and theres a lot of tips on forums and reddit that can help! here’s some of the budget things i use for my geckos: -terracotta pots. usually under $2 and my leopard gecko loves to hide in them. -driftwood or any kind of sticks. i prefer driftwood because typically the bark has been naturally stripped and i don’t have to deal with it myself. bucket of water and a splash of bleach and let it sit for 24-48 hours. then you’ve got yourself both lovely natural-looking decoration and something for your critters to crawl on. -rocks. find some good stones and rocks, scrub them, and then give them a soak in some boiling water. -fake plants from craft stores. any fake plant you get for a reptile needs to be soaked in boiling water first. but craft store plants are cheaper and aren’t designed specifically w/ lizards in mind, so pay very very careful attention to the quality of it. is it falling apart? does it have any sort of fabric that can decay and be ingested by a lizard? does it have sharp pokey edges? and absolutely no glitter but i’m sure you already know that lol. [i personally recommend NO fabric, only plastic. you gotta be careful with stuff that stays wet for long periods. you do. not. want mold and bacteria growing in your tank] -if you don’t want substrate as it needs to be thrown out frequently and can be expensive at commercial pet stores, a lot of people use lizard carpet. -It may not be very sightly, but people use altered tupperware for humid hides! definitely search some DIY stuff. it’s possible to do cool stuff on a budget that still provides a nice quality of life for a lizard! don’t be scared to get crafty!

Feed juveniles daily and adults three times a week. A commercial crested gecko diet is usually well accepted and is the easiest way to ensure a well-balanced, nutritious diet. Supplement that food with crickets and other prey insects (roaches, waxworms, silkworms).

Curious why no citrus? Was reading on a chameleon forum that stink bugs are relished by their chameleons and someone analyze the chemicals within them and found that they are also used in flavorings for our food, anyone doing crested geckos stink bug feedings?
