Well you definitely got your exercise in for the day Jack, and oh by the way you need to throw that $6,000 machine in the trash and get you a Garrett PI. Super great video Jack thanks for sharing.

One big tip for anyone detecting on Gold Mt is to take a long handle pic or hiking stick. The steepness of the mountain, thick shale, and cholla are seriously dangerous.

I also noted that you like the 9” Coiltek. Me too, but I use the Coiltek 10x5 in tight areas and seems to be just as good.

Jack, (1) Minelab has an ‘audio’ fault factory recall for the 6000. Did you check with your serial number if yours needs upgrading at the service centre near Chicago? (A technician named Nolan there does the work.) (2) Reports say for the 6000 the NuggetFinder Exceed 12x7” coil handles the EMI. (3) Like you explained, try the headphones with the ‘hardwire cord’ (instead of the cordless Bluetooth). (4) People use and look at using the ‘Avantree Torus’ shoulder speakers on the 6000. They are ‘aptX Low Latency’ and they work on the 6000. ~ Hope this helps.

I sent mine into Nolan too! He replaced the whole guts in mine😩 It works great now, but I had to pay my own shipping.

Here is what I did: Set up a test site to check coils and settings. Burry small to larger lead in a line with numbered and recorded target info. When I did that I found the 6000 performed better on two or three clicks up from the lowest sensitivity in the soil and EMI I am in. It is unstable and almost back feeds on the highest sensitivity settings with all of the coils. Also, there are a number of videos explaining you have to reset the noise cancel sometimes up to three times to get the machine to quiet down. It MUST be noise cancled periodically especially when the sun is getting close to going down. Not sure why but likey radiation level changes. Last point: if you have a coil that is bump sensitive it is faulty and should be returned or replaced. My 6000 14" coil tested ok but only half of the coil will detect. I did not like the coil since it is so poor anyway so I did not send it back but it would be good to know if they are all half dead. Get that test site set up pronto then you can know what performs best and on what settings for a starting point then adjust for local soil and emi conditions. Hope you get over a big one soon!

Hey Jack love your vids dude. The real stuff for sure. Sorry youre not happy with your 6000... i know they cost a pretty penny! The head phones wont interfere as they dont emit any emi... they operate in the audio range only. Unless its a bluetooth connection.

I heard you can fix that by wrapping the coil in aluminum foil 😊
