I'm anti bullshit, now, that's a nice looking 315, I've always liked a 315, you can do alot of work with it, trailer it on a tag trailer. It's a great all around machine, probably one of Caterpillars best. Hi Steve. That sucks. Sorry you are having to deal with that. I'm am the kind of person that believes that a handshake is as good as a contract. There are too many people that, just like that dealership, are only out for themselves. That dealership should be responsible for your attorney fees also. Well I would hope if your buying it from a large dealer it wouldn’t be stolen. And if You know it’s stolen why would you do a vin check? To see if it’s stolen?

It’s a bedrock thumb . I Suggest getting the progressive link thumb. It’s more money but it’s definitely worth it. The guy I got this machine from butchered it was a cutting torch so in the future I’m gonna get a new progressive link thumb .I will get another bedrock though. I have no Complaints about the manufacturers work

He did you dirty, no question about it!! You should find out exactly what he paid the other dealership for it (in case he offered less than they were asking and they accepted it). They knew exactly what they were doing, committing fraud and screwing you. They need to learn a lesson here, a hard expensive lessen if necessary, so they don't do this again to someone else (especially if this only costs them "profit"+, not court and fraud charges). There is no telling how many others they have done similar to and will/would do in the future to. Not cool dealership!!! That aside, nice machine!! Can you get a manual or hydraulic quick coupler for it ($$$$$ at that size I'm guessing)? That will get you the right bushings and seals for that connection and you could then still use that bucket without an issue (that's an expensive "fix" to a wrong bucket ear setup, but it's easy to suggest spending your money.....😂) Hopefully this gets resolved to your liking and you can start to feel good about the "new-to-you" machine!! Have a good one!!

Yeah I talked to he’s lawyer last week . Even he didn’t seem to happy with his Client. I just put a brand new bucket on it with the correct shims in Pins. So far it’s been a great machine once I resolve the issue with him I’ll be happy with it. they know what he paid for it .they have record of everything and have been in contact with the people he bought it from. They don’t want any trouble so they’re providing everything. so he’s in a lot of trouble Thanks for watching

You didn't get ripped off. You just didn't do your due diligence. You get the serial number first, establish what year the machine is. When the '03 vs '01 year discrepancy would have come up, you should have backed out of the deal. Simple. Everything else is just a case of "caveat emptor."

If I was to go brand new I’d probably do Volvo or Komatsu.

I wonder, have you notified your lender the machine they lent the purchase price on is not the age and hours they had been told, or the money lent isn't the same as the money paid? The loan to value ratio is certainly skewed against the lender on this transaction. Assuming your agreement with the seller happens.

Oh yes they were notified by my lawyer. I won the case and they gave me everything I was asking for. The lender doesn’t seem to care because the machine is more valuable then the money lent . So as long as they get their monthly payment and the machine has full insurance coverage they could care less is what I was told . I should probably do an update video but there is not much to tell . It wasn’t hard to prove what they did so was a easy case to win . Thanks for watching!

I’ve worked places with machines that have a lot more hours on them then 8k. A brand new comparable size machine is around $250k . I’ve already made all the money back with it that I bought it for and its worth more then I bought it for so stop trying to act like you know what your talking about. You always leave negative comments acting like you know everything but you don’t. Your just going to be ignored now .
