I had a former friend who would casually talk about how her own brother SA'D her ever since she was a kid. Almost immediately everyone in our small friend group tried to get her to go to police and make a report but she would say that she tried but no one believed her. She was absolutely loving the attention we were giving her until the day of a Halloween party at her house. We found out that her brother was there visiting and we immediately ran to nearly kill him but her mother stopped us and asked why were we trying to attack her son. I yelled at her how could she let a monster do that to her own child and she was genuinely confused at what I was saying so we told her that her son was attacking her daughter. She was absolutely stunned and her brother had this look of pure betrayal. We found out that day that she lied about what her brother did. He was living out of the country when she was growing up because he's older than her and that whenever he would visit, he would take care of her. He confronted her when she tried to explain that it was all just a joke and she cried that she didn't mean for it to go that far. We immediately stopped talking to her. Up until the end of high-school, she would go around still syaing her wild story but no ome believed her. Last I heard she is a married woman with a kid. I feel sorry for that little boy.

As sad as this is, it's quite common. I knew a lady who did the same thing. She attached herself to anything that would get her attention. She claimed her stepmother beat her, that her older brother molested her, that her boyfriend after her first marriage collapsed had abused her. None of it was true. I eventually talked to one of her sisters, who said and I quote "she's been a lost since she could talk.” We're not friends anymore.

I was hit by a council woman/member for my city and she t boned me at a four way stop. I had the right away and she wasn’t even at the stop sign yet. How was I supposed to anticipate she wasn’t gonna stop? 😑 Anyway, she never said two words to me or go out the car, she just called Onstar and the police arrive. The cop wouldn’t let us speak to each other and separated me away from her (I wasn’t acting belligerent, or hysterical for anyone goes there. I wasn’t even crying, just in shock. I was 18 and she was middle aged.) The officer came back to tell me she said she didn’t see me and it was raining and foggy. He can’t determined who is lying so no one gets a ticket. He didn’t write her a ticket and I lost my first car, my parents insurance went up, and she drove away with a dent in her Cadillac. Officer Champange in MI if you see this I wish the same to you. And I hope you know giving her the excuse of “not being able to see” is some bullshit and you should’ve wrote her a ticket.

Lots of people don't understand, right of way, 4-way stop signs, 2-way stop signs, or hell, traffic lights. If she can't see other cars, to drive safely, I don't think she should be allowed to operate a vehicle, & should have her license revoked. ****Also, dash cam!!! I really wanna get one, not just for the bizarreness of the drivers in my area, but proof in case of this BS.

Should have at least gotten the ticket for running the stop sign, whether it was raining/foggy or not. I mean, evidence of the act! Even without photos, one car got hit on the side! You might have had a case against the councildummy for negligence, _and_ the cop for corruption.

Trigger warning: SA In 4th grade, this kid, we are gonna call h, was only a few months into the school year. It was a month before school, and everyone (including H) was very excited and kinda started doing more things that were kind of against school rules. Nothing terrible. Pretty much just yelling memes randomly and maybe starting small fights. However, one day, during recess, H got a little handsy with these 2 girls. When the teacher pulled us in after recess and yeld at the boy for touching the girls, he said stuff like: "THEY WERE ASKING FOR IT!!" Or "I DON'T KNOW WHAT I DID WRONG!?" and proceeded to cry. And During this time, one of those girls were my friends. So at the end of the day I whisper into his ear and said: don't you f***ing touch *my friend name* ever again. He didn't make eye contact with me or any of the girls the rest of the year.

My ex She said that I was manipulative because "I always acted the same" and than she was the one that ended the relationship, but it was because she always committed the same mistakes She forced me into an open relationship and then kept forcing my boundaries, asking me to do things that I never felt comfortable with, like smoking pot and going to clubs, etc When I started enforcing my boundaries because I didn't want any of this, she said that I was boring, that she was "always wrong" and I was "little miss always right" People around her always said that she had to take responsibility for the things that she said and did, including her roommate, but I only noticed after seven years, I took the rose colored glasses I loved her, but she was still a teenager even in her mid twenties and I don't want to be there waiting for her to mature. Damn, I wasn't perfect, but didn't deserve the heartache that she made me feel I'm healing slowly and will be fine, hopefully

It REALLY sucks that people get screwed because of dishonest p.o.s. At least protect yourself. People will say ANYTHING to stay out of trouble at times. Better to remove all doubt. I was just told a story today that was really similar to story 20. We work at a daycare/preschool and one teacher was telling us about how one of her kids was biting. The kid had bitten several kids and teachers hard enough to leave marks and even drew blood. They sent an email the parents saying they needed to have a meeting to talk about the biting and how they can work together to stop it… the parents responded with “why do we need to have a meeting? It’s just biting. It’s not serious.”…we deal with stuff like this a lot at my job, but I do really love my job and adore the kids…just not the crazy parents

Speaking of kids, daycare, & biting - my sis worked at a daycare, in the 1-3 year old, toddler room; an incident happened in, I think it was, 2004, where her fellow room's carer, got fired/investigated, for abusing/hitting a toddler/baby. Now this lady was loud, threw her made-up weight around, wore scrubs, wrote her personal political views on my nephew's diapers, & eavesdropped on a conversation, the daycare's manager, & the bitey child's mother, was having w/ another office staff. Armed w/ information she didn't think to question or confirm, unofficial information, personal to the mother/child & *not* daycare/child, she takes it upon her, superior self & performs a - *HARD 2-finger FLICK in the mouth/on the gums* to this child, then screams at him, !! **NO BITE** !! She looked very pleased w/ herself as baby starts crying hard at the shock, while his lips puff up & his gums start bleeding. This kid had a couple teeth & could kinda walk, so he was like, 1.5 years old? My sister wasn't there that day, so this story was told 2nd hand, by the **shocked Pikachu face** other carer who saw it all go down. Dumb lady told the manager/mother what happened & why she, "disciplined" her child, the way she did; "she knew it was okay cause she heard her (mommy) say so!" Apparently what Mrs Eavesdrop didn't hear was that, manager/mommy's mother-in-law, suggested a light flick in the mouth, to combat biting, but the manager thought that was ridiculous & said no. 🤯

Me about a week ago. Had a mental breakdown and hurt someone else during. Right off I was being upset for being forced to stay away from where I normally go because I felt wronged for not being treated kindly due to my mental episode. 2 days later, I realize they were being kind and only are keeping me away for a week to let me recover and help get my own things sorted out while protecting the one I hurt at the same time. Only a few days later did I realize the full gravity of what I did. I have not apologized to the person I hurt as they do not want to be remotely near me currently, and I intend to keep giving them space to recover for as long as they need. Mind you this was all online, so no it did not affect my normal day to day life.

I'm glad you managed to be self aware. I've been an asshole online once or twice, I know that feeling after you say something where it's just like: F. I do recommend apologizing. No big extravagant explanation of how you were feeling at the time. A single message saying "I'm sorry, I was rude, I hurt you, I sincerely apologize and I want to do better." Afterwards you can get into conversation if they want to talk, but it'll be too much at once if they want to leave you alone like you said.

I have a story like the second one: A few years back, my sister was contacted by our biological grandmother. She had found religion and was trying to get forgiveness for walking out on the family, since she was close to dying. Problem was, she walked out when our mom was 7 years old. Neither me nor my sister had ever seen, met, talked too, or even thought about our biological grandmother. We only knew her name because we asked mom about her a few times. My sister asked why she did not contact her daughter (our mom), and she had some weak argument that she /really/ wanted to apologize to those she wronged...Just apparently not her own daughter. We think it's because she was not sure mom would forgive her for just disappearing one day. She was not even aware I existed, and never tried reaching out to me, btw. Just my older sister, who she found on Facebook, then found where she worked and got sis's phone number from the idiot manager. My sister's reply was "I'm sorry but you're basically a complete stranger. I've never met you or even talked to you before this phone call. You never attended a single family gathering or sent a single holiday card. You only reached out NOW because you're in your late 80's and you decided to contact me instead of your own daughter, because what you want is easy forgiveness for your soul. And I can't give it, because I don't even know you. And it's not me you wronged when you walked out." We did not hear from her again. And given that was 6-ish years ago, I'm going to assume she passed.

My parents in law ... got upset that we MIGHT move to my home country with our then 10 week old daughter. After 6 months of fighting ending in police involvement and another 6 months of planning ... we did move. The kicker ... if they hadn't decided to get upset we might move, we probably wouldn’t have and it was all my fault for stealing their son. (Hubby cut them off after they tried to get him to divorce me and take our then 12 week daughter from me so they could have a grandkid. No we aren't from a religious or cultural background that would make you think parents own kids ... they were just messed up)

I have a colleague at work (we volunteer at a charity shop), an older lady, who is currently trying to play the victim. When she's not in one of her moods, she's actually really nice and we have a laugh together; I genuinely like her despite the moods she goes into. Well, I LIKED her, until recently. She often brings food from the food bank (stuff they couldn't give out for one reason or another to the people actually attending the food bank) and gives it to some of the volunteers who are struggling with money. Since she's older, she often asks someone to go and get the food from her car and bring it to the shop; this day, it was my younger brother, who also volunteers there. Now, my brother is autistic (we also suspect I am too). The woman mentioned the food, but also a bag of linen that she was donating to the shop. To my brother, she definitely specified she wanted him to bring the linen bag, but it was less clear to him that she also wanted him to bring the food, so he only brought the linen bag. When he came back with just that bag, she did what she often does - berated him, calling him stupid and asking how he possibly didn't understand what she was asking him to do, then played it off as "just joking" afterwards. Because of my brother's autism, he can't always tell tone and didn't know whether she was joking or genuinely mad at him, so he got upset. Our other colleague, who was in charge for the day since it was our manager's day off, had enough of the woman's crap and decided to report the incident to our manager, who started an investigation. Our manager took our statements (mine, my brother's, and the colleague who reported it), then called the woman with the allegations. The woman proceeded to deny it happened, that everything that day was "banter" and tried to make out that, because of my brother's autism, his mood changed day to day and that's "just how he woke up that day". Erm, that's not how it works, lady. She came in to give her own statement, and apparently started crying (crocodile tears) and saying everyone was ganging up on her. The colleague who reported it also told us later that when she confronted the woman (before reporting everything), the woman had told her that my brother could be VIOLENT because of his autism (he has never been violent at work, much less to her, and hasn't had any "violent" spells since we were kids and he couldn't communicate better what he was feeling). That's funny, because our manager told us later that the woman, while the manager was trying to take her statement, pushed something over in her office in a fit of rage. She's threatened to go to Citizen's Advice and the police, but in the meantime she's been suspended for a month and her case will then be reviewed, and a decision made whether or not it would be acceptable for her to return. This is not the only time she has taken her "banter" to such a length that she's upset someone. She's a bully, full stop, and as much as I used to like her, I don't think I would be comfortable with her coming back to work. We'll see. The irony is, before she denied everything and tried to turn it all around on the rest of us, my brother and I were willing to forgive her. Not anymore.

The guy who had the scam run on them where the lady drove into his car while he was stopped could just have them look at the car's airbag controller, which is a "black box" that records the change in speed that triggered the air bag release. It would show that car was at rest, and support the truth.

He never stopped to rub it in and started dripping on to floor from his hands. He even ignored the one person who told him he had enough sanitizer. My mom. She loves to be the victim 24/7. There are so many stories on my end but I'll just tell one. Mom clearly knew that big bro and sis in law were going to the lake with other family members and etc etc. Just to have a fun time. This was a family gathering. They invited my mom WEEKS AGO but mom kept saying NO and she said she doesn't have time for these nonsense, she has better things to do and she can't stand the smell of the lake. So that day came rolling around again big bro and sis in law ask mom for the last time. Mom told the same crap. So Big bro, sis in law and their kids left. As soon as they left mom called one of her narcissist gossip friend mom started lying, making up stuff how they didn't even invite her, they only told her the last minute, mom changes the narrative back and forward. Saying that even if they invited her she wouldn't go due to the smell of the lake, there too many people, she might drown and she might catch covid 19. In 20mins my big sister came, brother in law and their kids came because my big bro also invited them. Big sis and bro in law came. They asked if how come mom didn't go. Mom straight up lie again saying that she WASN'T INVITED AT ALL and acted all surprise that there is a party at the lake. Big sis and bro in law had no idea so they believed mom and invited mom to come but mom was all like,"Oh! It's okay. I don't want to go. They didn't even invited me. They might get mad if I go". This is when I step in and I was like..."Bro. Mom's full of shit. Big bro and sis in law invited mom WEEKS AGO. Mom kept saying No. They invited mom again for the last time just a while ago and mom said no. Mom called her friends and lie that she wasn't invited. Now mom is lying to you both"...now as I explain things Mom kept interrupting and cutting me off. Again. Big sis and bro in law invited her but she said NO because she doesn't want to get sick so they left. Mom and I got into a argument ASAP. She told me to stop lying, stop interrupting "adult's matter", she's mom so she can say whatever she wants and I need to stay out of her business. I told her that she needs to stop lying like a little bitch. I straight up called her a narcissist and was like,"What's next? Call your friend, gossip and play victim? Fucking narc".

I was working at subway disclaimer I hated my job and it showed. But I can’t imagine anyone liking a job where you are alone for 2-3 hours around closing while having to deal with customers. One night a lady came in and I said: “welcome to subway how many sandwiches can I get you?” She then told me her three sandwiches and a pizza, I make them; when we get to the register I ask if there was anything else I could do for her. She then tells she needs three more sandwiches, this got me peeved but deciding I want to keep this job I closed my eyes took a deep breath and went about making them, she then asked for my managers number, I could never remember where it was and I told her that, then like an idiot I asked: “did I do something to offend you?” She then goes on a tirade about how I was a complete ass the entire time. I asked her why she didn’t tell me here entire order when we started, to which she responded with: “I was going to but then you sighed” flabbergasted I told her to get out. She stuck around for a minute more and asked: “are you gonna make my food?” You can guess how I responded. She leaves and comes back with her werewolf sumo wrestler boyfriend who had an Ak-47 tattoo on his right cheek to threaten me. They leave I call the cops, and my manager. Btw my manager who knew all this stuff happened got pissed at me when she learned that I was closing the store early. (To be fair I should have told her first) but still the idea that your employ who is all by themself at night will keep things running after being threatened is the dumbest thing ever to me. Tldr: lady doesn’t tell me full order gets mad that I tried to control my anger and gets her trailer trash boyfriend to threaten me.

Actually just had this happen. Can't be too specific but essentially, there were a group of my coworkers and I who were okay with [physical contact]. A girl from another shift saw us [placing hands on each other] and thought it would be okay to [sexually assault] someone. She then pointed the finger at us saying she saw us doing [physical contact] so she thought it was okay. Also she claimed that she didn't speak very good english (Hmong lady) so corporate decided that a language barrier was a perfectly viable explanation as to why she [sexually assaulted] someone. Also mine and a coworker's jobs were both threatened but she kept hers with seemingly a warning not to do it again.

TW: Mentions of lying about s0icide, as well as ped0philia I had a very good friend online for about 4 years. 16-20yrs old for me, while she's 2 years younger. She turned out to be a huge pathological liar that told countless stories that obviously weren't true to get attention. Like her brother trying to kill her, and her NON-EXISTENT THERAPIST TELLING HER TO KHS. (While I don't know if the former is true, she actively admitted to the ladder being a massive lie.) She had this habit of either getting incredibly angry or sobbing because she made a mistake. Sometimes, both one after the other. However, she'd make constant excuses to not make up for these issues. It would take me HOURS to get her to even APOLOGIZE. I would ALWAYS be the one calming her down after these incidents. The anger faded after she got older, however the victim blaming and sobbing didn't. For years, I made excuses for her tantrums, because I was far too nice and empathetic. As I grew older, I had finally had enough of her doing horrible shit, and dropped her from my life. She was very clearly INCREDIBLY mentally unwell, given the s/h she occasionally sent, tantrums, victim-blaming, and the fact that she started ROMANTICIZING these horrible habits of hers to be a good thing, and comforting her??? She is an artist. She drew her "past self" (as she called it) comforting and flirting with her. That what she did was all totally ok. WHAT. I was literally her ONLY FRIEND LEFT after she had GR00MED A YOUNG MINOR (Only because I wanted to make sure it didn't happen again, only to realize too late that wasn't the right decision and being stuck in this loop of discomfort) and yet she STILL completely lied about the false therapist. I cannot stress enough that nothing was wrong that night. She just suddenly came out of nowhere and lied her ass off for attention. It was horrible. vv HERE'S A LIST of things she did over the years. Viewers be warned. vv

-I was often in charge of her. Whether it be moderating servers, or leading projects she volunteered on. If she gave me art that didn't qualify via already pre-written rules, she'd get angry that she had to fix it without fail. Usually cried afterwards about being "So sorry she got angry". -I was given a project by my teacher involving character design for a real life client. Being the leader of an art team online, I was graciously allowed to have them participate. I was still being graded. She threw a tantrum that the 5-6 yr old AMERICAN KINDERGARTENER couldn't wear a KIMONO, and made me look like an absolute fool. Luckily, my teacher was kind. Too kind though. He let her off the hook. -Cheated on her online girlfriend with a boy (despite being lesbian, what) then got angry at EVERYONE ELSE, and BLAMED HER FOR IT. Ended up being banned from that server. Was angry that she broke up with her. The girl never even said that, she just misinterpreted it and had a meltdown. -Usually gave gifts afterwards like that magically made up for the horrible things she did. It's a nice effort I guess, but she'd go on to do the same behavior all over again in future incidents. -Completely STOLE one of our friend's characters, and acted like the two weren't the same whatsoever for hours, before having a breakdown. Anger + Sad -Got angry about not winning contests multiple times and making vent art about it, making the entire situation incredibly awkward. -MAY I RE-ITERATE THAT SHE GR00MED A MINOR (12) AT 18 AND SOBBED LIKE SHE WAS THE VICTIM. Her excuse is ALWAYS "I don't know why I did it". BULLSHIT. -That wasn't even her only incident of ped0philia, since she dated a 10yr old at 15, and had a meltdown about that too. -Constantly traced or used bases for artwork, then acted like they were entirely her drawings until called out on it, and even then, she'd usually complain. -LIED ABOUT TELLING HER PARENTS AND GETTING THERAPY AFTER THE GR00MING INCIDENT. IT WAS LITERALLY O N L Y SO SHE'D BE FORGIVEN FOR SUCH A HEINOUS ACT. It was a miracle i stayed friends with her for that long. I had a horrible habit if justifying friends' bad behavior and making it out to be fine. I even victim blamed as well back in the day, trying to see her side. I no longer do so. This would've been over for us so much sooner if I had ditched her. But then, I wouldn't have been able to convice her to stfu and calm down. She needs a mental hospital. And I hope to never see her again. That girl also had a crush on me. Not happening ever. She'd usually be JUST NICE ENOUGH for a few months to think that maybe she'd changed. Yet it was always the exact same case.

My tweeker neighbors ran an "auto shop" out of their drive way. The street was always full of cars and one day I had a cop banging on my door while I was sleeping. He said the neighbors reported I hit the car and left, I asked how I could have done that when I was sleeping and he could look at my truck for damage. He declined and said it wasn't his problem and then said they also claimed I called them the N word and drove off laughing . . . They were white and Hispanic so this made no sense. They dropped out of the insurance claim and lost their house shortly after.

This didn't happen to me directly, but I unfortunately had to watch this go down. I was in a Dungeons and Dragons group with some (now former) friends a couple years ago. In one of the campaigns was someone who wasn't all that interested in D&D but joined the campaign anyway so he could feel like he was more a part of the group. We'll call this player Trevor. Because of Trevor's very clear disinterest in D&D, he had become very unreliable. He would show up hours late to campaign sessions and wouldn't respond to the Dungeon Master's repeated attempts to get in touch with him. This went on for multiple months. The kicker was that DM never talked to Trevor about his behavior and as such, he never felt the need to correct it. She allowed it to happen for multiple months and never once thought to nip it in the bud. Eventually, due to his lack of interest, Trevor made the decision to leave the campaign and had a whole farewell planned for his character. But his lack of communication continued and DM eventually got sick of it. DM kicked Trevor out of the campaign on the night of his character's farewell session saying that Trevor's lack of communication was stressing her out when planning. Stress that she caused herself by not trying to talk to Trevor. But she didn't see it that way. While Trevor eventually saw and accepted where he went wrong, DM refused to take responsibility for her part in how everything went down. And the rest of the players took DM's side putting full blame on Trevor. I had tried repeatedly to talk with DM about it to gauge how she saw the whole thing, but I always got the same answer: "I refuse to take responsibility for anything." I'm still good friends with Trevor to this day, but I have since dropped contact with DM and her friends due to how everything went down.

I work at a nursing home as a Janitor...I have literally had to turn off the elevator's lights (which ensures it won't do anything)after moping the floor because people will MOVE the wet floor signs and still try to make the elevator move despite the floor being slick as heck and I don't want to lose my job due to someone falling on a floor I moped.

I have no dad. He died…not really which is the biggest unfortunate reality. But in my mind, he is dead and will hopefully die very soon. My sperm donor was an verbally, physically, and mentally abusive butthole. He was also an extreme narcissist and would always claim he was the victim in almost anything. I remember telling him about a performance coming up that I wanted him to be there, I was in middle school. I told him several times about the date and he said he’ll be there, but when it came, I didn’t see him. He told me that he was at work and had his phone off the entire time cause “it got busy” when in reality, he was at home watching Star Trek and lost track of time. He blamed me of course and made me cry again. He even blames us and mom for the divorce when he was a manipulative butthole that gets his pleasure into abusing his own family. I’m not a good person so I truly, truly, TRULY hope he dies a very nasty death, or dies alone with no one around him.

I think about 98% of people have the "It's not my fault" mentality. It doesn't matter what religion or political affiliation or gender or sexuality or nationality or ethnicity or what-have-you they are; chances are they're coasting through a thoroughly unexamined life, only putting in just enough mental effort to justify themselves whenever they encounter difficulty or criticism. And this has been a problem for humanity since time immemorial, at least far enough back that Confucius and the Buddha felt the need to develop ways of fixing it.

I guess it's not playing victom but more of a massive lier. My brother, whenever our parents find something like candy missing they bring me and my brother to the area where they found it missing or something like that. Now most of the time I don't even know such a thing exists (like the one time the entire bage of strawberry sauce dipped prezals where eaten, I did not know we even had it) so I Odviesly say 'I did not take anything' but my brother says the same. at some times i just get mad and walk away exclaming that 'no matter what i say, it will not matter' because something about "Guilty until proven inacent". (My brother got in trouble every time because i have moved on from my Childish Stealing faze (around when i turned 10-11ish 2 years ago, my brother has not learned.)

Repeat drunk drivers swear they will never drive drunk again. And they truly mean it. The problem is that they WILL drink again, and once they're good and bombed, they now believe they're not THAT drunk, so they convince themselves they can drive just fine. Then they miss a red light and kill an entire family, just coming home from a childs birthday party. And as usual, the drunk walks away unhurt. I used to work with a guy who was drunk at 7:00am every day. Then at lunch he'd pound down as much as he could in 30 minutes, then back to work. This guy had so many drunk driving arrests, that when he got his last one, with no injuries, mind you, they threw him in prison for several years. For the second time! He was a very nice, and honest man. It was such a shame to see him throw it all away because of alcohol. He was busted this last time because he fell asleep at a red light, in a borrowed car. Too bad we couldn't just ban it, but we all know how that would turn out.

Story 2 - My dad tells everyone who will listen, that he wishes he had a relationship w/ his children, he misses his children, why don't his children love him, meow meow meow." My mom refused to give out our info, but said she'd give us all his cell#, & if we wanted, we could contact him. My brother & I texted him; I requested he not bring up god, Joseph Smith, Book of Mormon, or church nonsense in general. I sent it on, 23APR23 & still no response, & no response to my brother's text, either. My mom told him we sent texts, & dad says, "oh I don't check texts, so I haven't seen them." & When suggested he check now that he knows? Noooo, plus he's too busy doing, temple work. ***ETA: My dad's whole personality is the, LDS/Mormon church; it's all he can talk about, no hobbies, fave foods, snacks, music, nothing that makes a normal human; church is his all & everything. I myself have asked him many times throughout the last 25 years, to stop preaching, stop pushing, stop talking about the church, Idc about the church, I don't believe in god/jesus/mormon/church, so if he can't have normal conversations, there's nothing to talk about, I guess. As far as my 3 siblings, he beat the s+it out of them, when they were umm, 5-17 years old. He almost killed my brother, multiple times, oh but all this, church love, is going to get him into the, Celestial Kingdom.

They are not that expensive and they will save your bacon. usadashcams make great products that are easy to use, have great audio and video quality, and can interface with your phone. My sister. She's very victimized by the fact that "people don't accept her for who she is, they want her to change herself for them. She doesn't have anyone to talk to." Who she "really is" is an abusive, manipulative, unkind person who refused to change. When people want her to "change for them", that means being basically polite and not being a racist transphobic jerk. Not making gross jokes about her farts and her sex life and how she almost drank herself to death, all of which being around young teenage brother. She "doesn't have anyone to talk to" because she's mean to everyone so people don't want to deal with her, ans she's very upset that our mom " isn't a mean drunk anymore," because now they can't bond.

In a former life, I worked for a call center that loved to play musical chairs with assigned seats. One day, I get a memo (this was before e-mail) that told me to move to another seat where a total Karen was sitting. When I showed her the memo saying that we were playing musical seats again, Karen blows up and tells me there is no way in hell she is going to move. I tried to reason with her, but she was in such a snit that I could have given her a million dollars and she still would have been angry. She is yelling and screaming at me. and just as the supervisor enters, she gives me a healthy slap to the jaw. She then goes to the supervisor and pokes her finger in his chest saying this was all my fault because I came to her wanting her oh-so-most-coveted seat. (Well, coveted in her mind anyway. I really didn't want it.) Supervisor has me call security so I did. She also slapped the supervisor as well. In the end, Karen was dragged out of the place and told her services were no longer required.
