@@HarleyCringe Fun fact: the red juice you see in steaks and such isn't blood! Steaks are solid chunks of muscle and blood vessels don't go between muscle fibers, so unless the butcher was extremely incompetent and somehow got blood on the meat (and then didn't wash it off), you're not eating any blood when you eat steak. The red juice you see is actually something called myoglobin. It's similar to the hemoglobin found in blood, in that it's a protein that stores oxygen molecules, but it's meant to provide oxygen directly to the muscle fibers instead of carrying it all around the body like blood/hemoglobin does

And according to what I have been told about snails by people who do like them: I am gonna have the same problem with them that I have with cooked onions. Fish eggs I have actually tried and rated "too lame to spend money on". No, I have to revise, "To lame to waste stomach space on". Uh well awkward but, toast sandwich is something that people in poverty-stricken areas in the states also eat, either with or without butter depending on the level of poverty, it's something they do to pretend to have variety but I've never heard of them using salt and pepper. I've literally also seen reddit threads of people talking about growing up poor and toast sandwich was a surprisingly common one so it's not just where I grew up man..

Any dish involving raw meat, egg, and so on is a big nope for me. The thought of parasites and bacteria just puts me off, even if the risk is virtually zero.

i can't get my head around eating any organs. I know that my older family is totally ok with it (they grew up on the farm so eating EVERYTHING (or almost everything) was normal but ... my father LOVED to eat cow lung, stomach (or rumen), heart.... but i nope. I can't. Funny though in Germany (i guess more in Franconia) we have a soup with has small dumplings made of liver (and bread, and spices of course) and BOY i love them. Still i find "normal" liver (cooked or fried) totally disgusting xD

so toast sandwiches are 100% a meme, but they really cant be bad. the whole point of them was to be a food that really sick people could eat when they threw up anything else. Everyone likes toast with good butter, all a toast sandwitch is, is that but with an extra textural layer the thing is you need to butter both sides of the toast AND add butter to the bread, you need a lot of butter to make it not dry and the bread brings out some extra flavours of toast that you wouldn't normally notice

Bread drenched in extra virgin olive oil, salt and finishing salt (preferably smoked Maldon) is good. But a bread sandwich is just stupid.

For me it's definatly a steak tartar. For those of you that don't know or don't want to google it, it's an appetizer made from raw ground beef mixed with spices that is served typicaly with onions and raw egg on top of it.

Dont let them hear that cows dont exist in the wild and its a specifically domesticated breed just for eating. Chickens and goats are also domesticated so horse meat isnt all that special. I've eaten before. Its like a little more dry version of beef

Try fermented fish or any variation of shrimp/fish pastes found all over SE Asia. The concept is foul. You let fish ferment in salt for months and then use them as a condiment or seasoning. The smell is something you don't want to be around, but the taste is chef's kiss.
