Inventions precede innovations but NOT all inventions turn into innovations. It takes wide acceptance by the masses who r seduced by u guess it "entrepreneurs..."

calvin chew we don’t unfortunately even use the term inventor anymore. It’s almost always ENTREPRENEUR nowadays not INVENTOR. I wish we used the term latter more. Even a founder of insurance company founder can call himself ENTREPRENEUR. But not every one can call themselves INVENTOR in the same way.

Probably because the average workers' jobs are divided into plenty, while there's usually only 1 CEO to centralised decision making.

What?? NO way! Technology is new and innovation in relatively. Real Technologies are products that function on the basis of isolated natural laws, this means technology functions on it's own (independent of something else).

As an inventor, if I don't expect any fame or money, if I am doomed to see my invention being used (exploited) by an "enterpreneur", then I have no motive to invent anything and better don't invent at all.

That's why partnerships are important. We all have need of a skill we don't personally possessed ourselves, so we hire them to add to our own and help us build our idea into reality. I'm pretty sure most inventors own stocks with the entrepreneur as it's usually dual effort. If not, they don't care about it and just sold it to someone who can find use to it, often modifying the tool with hired scientist for better use. It's simply impossible for people to do everything by themselves as no one is an island. Sometimes, the idea is actually thought of by the entrepreneur but don't have the skills to turn it into reality. Maybe charisma is just really a very important skill in life, the ability to persuade people to buy your product otherwise it's forgotten and viewed as a curiosity until someone has an idea to find use of it to integrate in our lives

He covered the bamboo frame with lightweight silk cloth and feather of eagles. The wings of the flying machine were not static, but could be controlled during flight. He invented also transparent glass, water powered clock and etc there are hundreds of inventions from muslims very interesting. f.ex al gebra, first optical discoveries, ...so on on on......................................

Jobs was always into electronics. He had a summer job when he was 12-13 in an electronics company. Its not like he was purely a marketing guy.

A black man created the refrigerator . A black man created peanut butter , not Jiffy.

It is safe to say then ancient India is home for many inventions and Innovations. I wonder how it was skipped by author/narrator as an example. Asia is made up of India and China.
