Crush your player pool by exploiting them preflop:
Tony G is a very special character. In this video we check if he is not only good for trash talk, but also for good poker plays.
We analyze a hand between him and Mikita Badziakouski and Ike Haxton, and with the the help of the preflop solver Simple Preflop and the multiway postflop solver Simple 3 Way, we are exploring whether Tony G could change his name to Tony GTO.

If you watch the full video, Tony had recently delivered a speech to Mikita where he basically calls him robotic/boring etc. I think this is why the hand goes down as played. Mikita wants to 'outplay' Tony before the game wraps up and Tony trusts his gut that this was the case. One for the old guard!

More amazing stuff. I binged some Tony G just last week. He knows his spots. For some reason first memory would have been a crazy style player like Dwan, or Gus Hansen but he’s actually closer to a Phil Hellmuth or Negreanu grind and small pots. But he def knows how to over bet and shove as well.

You forgot to mention on Mikitas train of thought that most likely Ike clearly folded a J and he had the 7 so it was very unlikely that tony had better than top pair which made it a great spot to bluff raise knowing that two of the 2 pair combos are blocked, tho it was clearly not the spot to do that against a tilted and Drunk maniac lmao, against any other player it probably would have worked.

This. I think it's a very good raise on the river and a not so easy snap call from Tony G. But Tony also knows Mikita is able to 4-bet bluff on the river quite often, thus the call. Here they are playing poker, not GTO.

It's quite simple really. Badziakouski thought Tony G had precisely A10 or 109 since they are the cards not contained in his hand or on the flop. He sighed on the river when the 8 brought a straight for 109 - his main suspicion, although didn't think Tony had a straight due to the small river bet, but called anyway hoping he had A10. He wasn't far off considering Tony had K9.

Huh ??? Top pros mostly think in ranges not putting people on a specific hand precisely, and he did not call, tony cbet river and Mikita raised him, which you should not really do IP on river when you have showdown so if he thought Tony had Ten Nine (the nuts) why on earth would he do this, see how your total comment makes no sense ?
