History repeats itself, and what's old is always new again. I think people resonate with the slowness of these videos more than anything else too, especially when modern day YT can feel over the top and insincere and overwhelming. Minecraft is also a timeless game that can be morphed into pretty much anything. Incredible vid!!

I have been doing this, and the reason I do it is not for the views, likes, or anything, I do it because it actually helps me. I can let out whatever I am thinking (almost anything, nothing too personal.) and I can share my opinions and personal beliefs online. Which helps me a lot, especially when I never really get to talk about what I want to talk about all the time. Also, yeah I think it partly came from schlatt's commentary vids, which I forgot about. I also think a lot of it could be from the loneliness a lot of us feel. I agree with you in this video and I enjoy your own take on this. (also really well made video.)

I think these videos are kinda the old youtube coming back in a way. I actually really enjoy these videos and hope that more and more people do these and that it doesn't become a trend to just get views.

I personally hate it how parasocial relationships are seen as negative when it's actually neutral the same way as real life relationships are. It depends on the connections, a real life connections can be as co-dependent as parasocial relationships are and vice-versa

I've never seen any of these Minecraft therapy videos myself, but this randomly popped up in my recommended, and I'm glad it did. This was a really well made video, and it somehow made me feel at ease for just a little while.

I think for me flowstate started making these sorts of videos and then i KEPT on getting reccomended these sorts of videos and I kind of hate it now. Flowstate started doing the same type of video but vlog style to the camera, but it just didn't get the views so recently he's switched back to minecraft and there's been a DRASTIC uptick in viewership.

just try to make the type of content that you want to see more of, and put your own unique twist on it. but i wouldn't worry about subscriber count too much, if you're making stuff that you truly love then people will come naturally. keep it up!
