I love HomeRun Inn pizza...So good! Everyone really seems to like DiGiorno, but I don't like a really thick crust (unless it's Chicago deep dish pizza).

The Home Run sausage pizza is my go-to pizza when I'm craving pizza like I grew up with in the Chicago burbs. I can't get good sausage pizza where I live. The favorite topping here is thin slices of ham covering the pizza (think Budding ham). I can't stand it. But the Home Run sausage pizza is awesome, the perfect balance of cheese, sauce, sausage, and crust. The crust is buttery, the sausage flavorful.

Home run inn hands down. Corn meal crust. Ingredients taste fresh especially the Italian sausage one

Excellent review. I'm from Chicago and Home Run Inn is absolutely the best frozen pizza. Your ability to review pizza is much better and more honest than Dave Portney's!

I got it from Harris Teeter, finally going to try it out for the first time for dinner tonight. I heard its really good, excited to see how it turns out. I got the pepperoni/sausage combo

Connie's is a Chi Town special. Lots of depth, powerful spices and flavor, really thin crust. Delicious.

Here for “HOME RUN INN” Just bought one, but never heard of it.

Maybe just do a taste ranking with just the frozen pizzas that come from an actual pizza restaurant. Just to make it a fairer playing field for those that dont have a restaurant.

It's not oregeno in the sausage. It's fennel.

I would like to try my own review like this. Did you cook all these pizzas at the same time?

Yeah.... DiGiorno's crust does throw me off. I used to feel a little ashamed that I've always preferred Jack's since it seems like such a cheap pizza. But, after seeing that these guys love Jack's too, I feel better about myself. haha

I just discovered you guys. I really like it. Thanks a lot for these cool reviews of common items at the store! I feel like you gentlemen need to come up with little score cards for items for consistency, then average it out for the final score. For instance, maybe the pizzas have a rating for each: Cheese, Sauce, Crust, Meat, Other Spices / Seasoning, and then overall Appearance/Presentation. From a fellow Bald Guy. haha

I think red baron would be just about the perfect cheap frozen pizza if their sauce was either a little bit bolder or had a little more of it. Still a great comfort food for me though!

You have given Jack's the highest review ever in the history of KZread pizza reviews. I like Jack's when finances are not so good. Maybe it could be justified by considering cost in the overall review. With a Jack's at $2.48, I can add a bit more sauce, sausage and cheese and it is a decent pizza for late at night.

I'm surprised you didn't do the County Market brand or Red Baron.

At the factory they get 4' x 4' x 4' boxes of straight pork fat ( no meat ) they dump them into a hopper and add seasonings then grind it all up , then it's dumped into a machine that forms it into balls about the size of billiard balls and plops them on a conveyor moving at a certain speed into a oven . Note there is a trough of grease flowing out'a the oven ( they make biodiesel out of it ) and out the other side of the oven are the little bitty pizza sausages . The whole process is kinda nasty but it smells amazing in there .

Tombstone is a childhood favorite popular in the mid west. In Massachusetts it came out in 1994. Not widely available and not popular in Mass.

Yeah man Jack's is a gem in the rough. The price is always great and you get this delicious pie with that Wisconsin cheese. The rising crust pepperoni is a real treat too. Totally different animal than their thin crust but still excellent.

I swear they changed Jacks and Tony's for the worse several years ago. Jacks is still a top frozen pizza for me. Very under rated.

Of course, the crust on the Digiorno pizza is going to be different . The crust is thicker, and you chose a thin crust for every other pizza. Digiorno makes a pizza with a thin crust. The crust on the Home Run pizza is very different because it is buttery. That is a big difference when compared to other pizza.

Best one is Connie's, SUPER. Thank me later. Since I found that, the number of times I've had pizza from a Domino's or Pizza Hut is less than 5 a year.

In my opinion, some frozen pizzas trump fresh counterparts. I would take a Jack's frozen pizza any day over Little Caesars, or maybe even Pizza Hut.

Connie's pizza can run you about 8 bucks if not on sale. Domino's has gotten better over the years, but I'd prefer a Connie's pizza any day over it.

Jacks pizza is awful

You're out of your minds DiGiorno, is far superior in all their pizzas over all of them I've tried home run inn I've tried Jack's I've tried Sam's club and tombstones the others your show I never heard of but don't look good on the video at all and a couple other ones that you don't mention and DiGiorno, in my opinion is by far the best at all of them. Don't get upset it's only my family and friends and my opinion each and every person has their own culinary tastes.

Sorry another thing I forgot to mention was my Walmart sells 15 different brands of frozen sausage pizza some of them I haven't tried because the price is above what I would want to spend on anyway this means that your test is not very conclusive maybe you should buy all of them before judging which is the best sausage pizza

Please put what the cost of the items are.

Tombstone is one of the best yet you ranked it the lowest

I like jacks better then tombstone. Although I did used to like them when I was younger and my gramma cooked them. The sauce is good

Connie's cornmeal on pizza is distinct to me, whereas I find HRI doughy. However, you're right in that it doesn't stand a chance with Connie's.
