You are awesome... the stuff on your channel is super informative and inspiring. Don't worry about your accent. It is admirable for anyone to speak more than one language, and then it's amazing when they make a video in their second language! I WISH I had that skill. I hope you reclaim your WHY to help motivate you and to find what brings you joy once again.

Everyone gets stuck in a rut, or a form of writers block in life. Take a break, try not to search for anything in particular and you'll find a spark again, it'll come to you. You put thoughtfulness in all your videos and they are very enjoyable. I think I'd enjoy any topic you cover. Your accent is nice by the way. That's not an issue at all.

Your self-awareness in this video is “goals”. A great, reflective video! To find your own happiness is admirable. I respect & appreciate the depth of your minimalist videos: You’ve helped us to embrace a philosophy beyond merely decluttering to living more consciously. Through your videos, we brought in less ‘things’, retained our quality clothes, pots, pans that will last for decades, eliminated redundant items like cheap scissors, hair combs, stupid unsentimental things. We embraced how you’ve de-cluttered fashion and worked through living w/ others who had lots of stuff. Your rationale for those aspects was kind and gentle. Thank you, thank you. We’d subscribed and wanted you to know that whatever path you take in the YT arena is going to be ok. We understand some of the ‘algorithm’ stuff behind the viewer numbers. That said, you’re a cool inspiration for a thoughtful life approach. Again, thank you for the beauty of your channel.

One of the most refreshing things I find, as a minimalist, is finding how people go about their daily lives (as minimalists) doing things not related to minimalism. I love to talk about how to conquer obstacles in minimalism or why it's been great for me but that's only a small part of who we are and what we do. I'd love to see more videos ranging in wider topics. Good luck, from the U.S.

Someone once said to me "don't be so hard on yourself" and I thought that was silly advice. My mindset was "of course I am hard on myself, that's a good thing to be hard on oneself!" Until I had a deeper understanding of what that advice meant and it was a true "aha" moment. Whenever I catch myself being hard on myself now, I am aware of it and I stop it. It still happens but I have more control over it and it is life-changing. Your channel and your content is awesome but do not feel any pressure and do not be hard on your self. Take a break, relax, get perspective.

This is great work! I have loved seeing a guy's perspective on minimalism, so your original intent has been great. As someone your MOM'S age, my insight is that everything we do provides a lesson if we look for it. What I see in this video is you. Growing! Finding that you have more to say, realizing that subscriber numbers don't equate success. Finding that you have more to say, allowing you to stretch and expand your curiosity into new areas to share. Helping others see that success is an inner journey, not an external one. You are in an explorational stage in life (between 20-30) where the questions and frustrations you posed are exactly where you're supposed to be. I honor your journey, enjoy your work, and think you're a really fantastic person. Thank you for risking discomfort to be real with us. THAT success is its own reward, and makes all of us a little braver. When we see the example, we can choose to grow and be uncomfortable, too. All love!

Minimalism is a way of life for some of us who’ve never had anything to declutter because we just never had shit, materialistically....This NEW Western Trend called materialism is bound to be stressful because all of a sudden you are told on Social Media to get rid of all your stuff and that would make you happy, only to become frustrated and bored with the whole process, and probably a little upset that you gave away all your expensive shit. Minimalism is a gift to those who wake up being grateful they actually slept on an empty stomach....Get well soon✌🏾

I watched this video yesterday morning, and it really got to me. I was thinking about it all day yesterday. I don't think you meant it like this, but I think this is the greatest video about why it is important to focus on the process and not the results. Focusing on the process keeps you living in the present and your mind on the current task. Focusing on the results, prize, reward, has you thinking about the future and not what is happening now. You got, and we all do this, I've certainly done a lot of this, especially this past year, you got stuck thinking about a reward, video views, increasing your subscribers, which had you focused on the future, instead of having your mind focused on making videos. You forgot to think about why you love making videos, and just the mechanical process of making them, you got pulled out of the present. We can control our behaviours and the process but we can't control the prize, you can't control youtube's algorithms, you can't control whether somebody clicks on your video. I'm in university and I can't control what grade my professors give me, that's up to them, I have to stay focused on doing the readings, doing my homework, things I can control. Focusing on the future and things we can't control can make us unhappy. This past 12 months has been particularly difficult for everyone on the planet. We ALL want this mess to be over, we're tired of living in lockdowns and wearing masks, we want to think about the future and when life is returned to normal. Hopefully we can all get reconnected with our friends and families soon. I want to party like it's 2019! ;-) Good luck, Singapore (I think) looks like a beautiful place. I especially like your shots of the rain, and the dripping water, wet leaves, they are very meditative. Go take some time for yourself to find what makes you happy. :-)

Make content that makes value, not numbers 2. Remember, if you’re counting numbers, you’re never going to be fulfilled 3. If it’s not fun,you can quite whenever you want 4. Your accent is amazing, it is something unique that makes your videos even more enjoyable to watch! The 'Thoughtworthy' channel says to 'Fail Fast, Fail Often' and other youtubers say it is a mistake not to experiment! Do what you want, don't just stick to minimalism, we don't want you to burn out. The algorithm will still send people interested in minimalism to your videos - just give them something else to binge watch! I know everyone here is eager to know where you would take your channel and what other topics you would introduce! All the best whatever you decide!

Yesterday while my husband and I were walking by the sea we just started talking and asked each other "why are we in this world? What is the purpose? " we feel devastated and unmotivated. Due to covid, my husband couldn't go to his home country but stuck here almost 2.5 years. For me, as a teacher, I am struggling with family issues, illnesses and students who are not interested in learning something interesting-languages. I used to be a traveller to new countries and now being stuck in my house makes me unhappy. Considering your issue, Just walk around your ideas and set aside minimalism until you feel happy for everything. Just seize the day. 💪🗻 Go to nature.(walking/hiking) Find yourself there... nature will give you the answers.

Even though your channel is about minimalism, this is actually the video that lead me here! I really relate to what you're saying and I hope you make more videos like this in the future too 🙌🏼

Thanks for sharing CK. I am too feeling this void in my life right now. It maybe the burnt out accelerated by me working from home or being unhappy at my job or comparing myself to others or not making significant progress on my goals or honestly all of the above. You’re not alone. We are all human and I guess it is normal for us to feel this way. Take care my friend.

I relate a lot with your video. Sometimes I get very frustrated that my channel is not growing like “it should “ and I want to give up 😨. I try to not focus in the numbers and do it for the love of it trusting that it brings happiness to some that need it ❤️. Take a break, or post less often and find the pasión you are missing. You are doing extremely well and your content is really good. I really love it! Thank you for your honesty and for making me thing again , what is really important 🤗❤️

Don't worry about your accent! Honestly it's something that differentiate you form other channels and makes you special! When I think about one of your videos I wached I automatically hear your voice in my head because your accent is so distinctive! I really think it adds character to your videos and channel! :)

I would suggest for you to have a certain day to post Minimalism videos, other day to post motivational, other for health, and so on. For example: Minimalist Wednesday, Healthy Friday, etc. By doing that, you don't feel that you are stuck in only a topic, I believe. Hope that you stay well. Wish you the best.

This is one of my favourite video from you!! Love the honesty of your words. It’s crazy to hear you say that you think that your accent gets in the way when in fact, I see it as such an important part of uniqueness and character in your channel. You speak your mind with every video and your accent compliments your ideas.

I actually really appreciated this video. I love all the previous content, but it's helpful to see that everyone struggles and everyone sometimes gets caught up in the numbers and trying to find what works and what makes them happy. Thank you for making such an honest video.

It's not about numbers, views, subscribers..it's about you. If you need rest, take rest. If you feel sad, cry. If you are not happy, reconsider things in your life, eventually make changes. But only changes that make YOU happy ☺️ You live now and here and the life is short. If you are happy, healthy and ok, everybody else will be and the energy will spread with the speed of light. Always put yourself first. It's not selfish,it's necessary 🤗 take care

You know the problem, what is the solution? Minimalism is a finite topic so you have no new conyent. So you can branch out to new areas of interest and self growth. Second you get too much feedback on how you are received. Am I OK? Do you like me? You can like a teacher but if the classes are the same it stops being a learning process. You still like the teacher but now they are boring. I like you and I know you have multiple facets to your being. You have climbed the mountain. Now what? Your loss of direction is normal. Self assess and find other channels for your passions, you are not alone. We are with you

Coming from someone who has been watching your videos and been through to exact same thing... i can honestly say I have been exactly. I just wanna say try praying. If my words mean anything. Praying to God specifically. Just honest words. And reading the Bible together with prayer. It changed me and many I know. Radically. It changed my business. For the good. And my life. I appreciate your videos and advice. It is amazing and down to earth. I love it. I'm not great with words, but I just want to say thank you so much. I wrote this halfway through your video. It happens to everyone! The Negativity.

Great Video! Often the reason behind our unhappy feelings is the things we don't have control over and the results that gives us. I think its important for us to realize that we will always have something that we can't control and we should learn to not let that affect our happiness.

A lot of us are feeling insecure in our futures right now, CK. I am grateful to hear that you are here with us all in this, and we can definitely all relate. I for one am perfectly fine with you expanding your subject matter on your channel! If you feel like you want to do a video on something a little different than normal, then go for it! A person can only do just so many videos on minimalism before you start just repeating yourself. I would love to hear more about you and your ideas about different things. Thanks!

I enjoy your videos because I really love your general point of view, I admire your skills and you also help me improve my English ( hi from Greece). Your authenticity and uniqueness is what really won me over completely and made me want to learn as much as I can from you. I also find interesting the things that other people suggested about your content. Take your time to restructure your life. ❤❤❤❤❤

I used to blog about minimalism, fitness, etc. it became a grind and then I grew to detest all of it. I quit it all, dropped out of my school, and switched careers to something I actually cared about and then took back all of my own time for me and my family. Much happier now.

Hi Cheng Kit! Let me ask you a few questions- 1. What activity / thought lightens your mood instantly all the time, everytime? eg. making soap bubbles, watching Maruko chan 2. What are you really really grateful for today? 3. What is your current interest? Do you want to share it with us? 4. If you are a book lover, what book are you currently reading? What did you learn? 5. If you listen to books, what book are you listening to these days? What did you learn? 6. Did you ever think of doing book/series/audiobook etc. reviews? Hope these questions help you ask yourself deeper meaning of your existence. I think, happiness is not permanent, it comes and goes in moments. You don’t need to seek happiness if you can achieve the state of equanimity.

Take some time, brother, and recentre your spirit. Give yourself space to breathe and just be. If you need a week away from videos, or a month, or a year - it's chill. We'll understand. We're here for you, not minimalism, not fashion, not anything else. So be kind to yourself, take care and breathe deep. You got this.

We love your videos! But sometimes as artists or people working in the creative field, we strive more for other things than just enjoying the present moment, and so, the process. It’s okay to take a step back when it’s needed, to take the time to reflect on the situation, but most importantly about ourselves. If you can take the time to be more patient with yourself, you will focus your energy on more positive things. It’s also very important to take breaks and our worth doesn’t depend on anything else but ourselves. Take your time to process things as you talk about emotions too ! ☺️ I always look forward to your creativity in your videos & thank you for just sharing with us ! Cheers & take care !✌🏼

Oh man, for me it's FOR SURE my accent... it MUST BE my accent... Haha, totally relate :). Hey, and don't worry about being less consistent for a bit. Change your perspective. Consistency can even mean "Consistently uploading at least one video I love per month". Or "consistently challenging myself", or "Consistently not being a slave to the KZread Overlord"
