I am retired now with 4 grown children and wife. I completed a horticultural trade in the early eighties. I now spend a lot of time in my garden and looking at others on my breaks. The reason for the preamble is not one in my family is interested in gardening. You two are lucky you share your love of gardening and can converse about it. I have subscribed because I appreciated your love of gardening and you both make me feel happiness in your joy of gardening

Thanks for reminding us of that... it is a blessing to have a shared interest. We wish our son would get more involved...but he's only 11... if it's not made of Roblox or Marvel, he's not super interested. 😅 And thanks so much for sharing in our garden happiness... we hope our love for it comes across the screen. Thanks for taking the time to list the taxonomic names for the plants too. It is so helpful. You could have a separate channel where you document the propagation of some of the plants in your garden. I think that is its own art/science. It would be nice to have some start to finish guidance during the winter or early spring months when you are off duty from the outdoor garden.

Teaching is a stressful job so I can understand Lars switching to gardening. Plants are better behaved than a lot of children! I often wish that I had a job working with plants( perhaps in a nursery or a garden centre) instead of medicines. I worked for 43yrs in Pharmacy before retiring. I used to enjoy making things like creams and mixtures but all the skill went out of the job when everything became prepacked. Hope you enjoy your office job Allen. So glad you're still watching with us! And yes... we do think about which seeds come true from the mother plant... altho, we often don't really care. Like with our dahlias, we collect seeds (Bishop's Children) especially because they will be different. We've been looking at old pictures from the winter and WOW... it's crazy to imagine all of this green vanishing every year... but that's life :) The seed starting is a big part of our process... we do sell a lot, and we give a lot away to kindergartens (only the child-safe plants), neighbors, etc... whoever needs some extra color in the spring/summer.
