So for some of us, just coming up, not sponsored, or simply can't afford to put together the right set up.. it takes some time to mix and match to figure it out. We get hand me down parts, and maybe can't afford fresh wood all the time. Hearing from pro's is super informative

It works like that, when you are starting up you skate anything, you don't have a choice, and it works, any skater should be able to skate on anything. But then you start to get a more refined taste and you start to realize some products work better than others for you, and then there's the law of diminishing returns, pros can spend time energy and money on little changes. The problem is you get so sucked in on those small changes, that you get frustrated when it gets different. So even if those variations do make a difference, that's not what's stopping you, it's the frustration and obsession.

I used to notice the difference between boards made in mexico vs china for zero slave and mystery. The mexico boards were abit stronger, it had less pop but the pop stayed the same through out most its life. The china boards were weaker and didn’t last as long but had alot of pop, that pop had a shorter life and you would notice it when its gone. In the end i went with the china ones from mystery and team boards from zero because most of the pro boards back then were Mexico boards. I didn’t care bout the life span since i was buying directly from black box at the cost price they were selling to the shops. So i would go in and get 4 boards a month. Was sad to see them go under. But i still buy zero boards that are made in china. I would go for the cheaper one over the high end dwindle boards. The dwindle ones are alot heavier and way too stiff for me in the twilight of my skate life

So you think the cheaper price point zero boards from like zumiez are better than the high end resin 7 boards? Personally I love ps stix boards I bought a 8.25 welcome board recently threw on some mini logo 8.75 trucks and f4 54mm spitfires and wow. That thing is so light and just pops for days. Those trucks are super light even tho they are too big.

I never got used to it because im old and stubborn lol ive been skating for 20 years the boards from the last decade are soo much better from the boards in the 2000s any board is good these days

Bottom deck of a stack should not be flattened. I believe that when boards are stacked up on pallets or shelves, they are placed on two beams that run along in-between the concave and the kick of the nose and tail. So the bottom boards do not get flattened. Thank You Nine Club. A skatecentric bro.

One thing I can't stand is when someone snaps several boards because it's not perfect. Well instead of breaking them, hook someone else up. Any board is better than nothing, be thankful we don't skate 2x4s like the kids in Africa. My biggest issue with my fellow skaters, had a homie that broke 6 Zoo York boards because he couldn't kick flip. Smh

Seems like he cares more about lifting that skating! Really disappointed that his Push part never materialized! Since then I've seen zero footage from him!

He and his friend preyed on a naked mentally unstable individual and beat the shit out of him while filming it. It's a really gnarly video, watch it at your own discretion if you can find it. I'm sure the SLAP threads have it
