With iPhone 8 right now, you’re not really getting that much features, plus the camera is lacking so much specially in dynamic range. I recommend iPhone SE 2nd generation or newer.

both the 8 and 8+ are really good phones. Still are able to handle the latest apps with ease, some intensive games may have a slight lag but nothing major. Only issue is the iPhone 8 is the oldest phone to still be supported by apple today as it came out in late 2017. So there is a high chance, when ios 16 comes around in September, it may be unsupported. So if possible, i would consider the iPhone XR or the iPhone SE 2nd generation as they have newer processors which makes them a lot more likely to still be updated by apple after September.

depands on your usage if you just using as texting watching videos and scrolling media social it would be great actually but if you using camera regularly gaming definitely no go.
