There was a really big debate on whether BTS should be forced to serve considering their enormous cultural and economical impact in Korea, but at the end of the day, they all still had to serve.

BTS had multiple conversations and meetings with the Korean government on their enlistment however due to the high contribution from BTS and their fan base towards the economic status of for South Korea the government had not reached a conclusion for whether BTS would be exempt from mandatory military service. The decision was postponed multiple times and therefore the group decided themselves when they would enrol. They were always going to as they’ve said multiple times they wished to serve their country.

Currently studying abroad in Japan as a 21 year old, and honestly, the part when they talked about being at the airport for the first time alone really resonated with me. It was a hassle and stressful situation, but I managed to get through it on my own, making me feel proud of myself. I finally feel like a real adult living here; although it's stressful at times, there are more fun times. I hope you can travel here one day, Maru!! It's beautiful!

As someone who moved from home at 20, I LOVE IT!! And not just like moved out the house; I moved states from Washington to Arizona. I came to ASU my freshman year and loved it so I came back immediately after I finished my degree and saved money. It’s so nice to know no one and not have family up your ass. I can go to California literally whenever, I do things on my own. And I can finally show my parents I’m not actually some stupid girl and can do it on my own. So that’s nice!! I will never move back home and hope to move at least maybe one or two more times before trying to find my permanent place
