What's Inside the Building Tom Hanks Calls the Most Terrifying in the World?

A Manhattan skyscraper is now being regarded as the most terrifying building in the world after actor Tom Hanks ignited new speculation over the bizarre structure. Conspiracy theories were rampant about the building after the 'Apollo 13' star posted a tweet to his more than 13 million followers asking what was up with it. "This is the scariest building I've ever seen! What goes on inside??" he tweeted last week. #InsideEdition

    I saw a building similar to this outside my hotel room window in New Orleans. It had no windows which was scary, but nighttime was the scariest part because all the other skyscrapers were brightly lit and the windowless building was completely dark except for the red aviation light on top. I wonder the building has a similar purpose as the one in New York.

    The building has been there over 50 years(construction started in 1969). It is actually an NSA spyhub or surveillance site which is owned by AT&T and houses computers and phone equipment and a special gateway switch that routes calls to/from USA to other countries etc. It is known as TITANPOINTE. I use to go inside down in the 3rd level basement to deliver cookies and muffins twice/week about 25 years ago in my company van on a truck elevator. It was just as scary/bland inside as it was from the outside. I remember it always being chilly.

  • @phuturephunk
    @phuturephunk9 ай бұрын

    It was built by AT&T as a main telco aggregation and switching point, which it is still used for today. The lack of windows not only hardens the building against damage but also allows for a much greater control of HVAC without the sun adding to the load. The building also houses some pretty substantial data center infrastructure. You're not getting in there without clearance or a guest pass by one of the tenants and rightfully so, it is still one of the nuclei for telecommunications in Manhattan.

    First time I ever heard of it's existence. I had a dream where I was an invisible monitor like most of them. That building is familiar but the land surrounding it was desert and windy. -The buildings were far apart but in eyesight of each other. All of them identical to that one. There was only one female I can remember and her robot horse. Each building served a different purpose. She had to go from one to the other often fighting the extreme element outside.
