Thanks for the teardown. I recently had my Mangird Tea failed. There's no bass in 1 side of the IEM. I guess the DD failed due to moisture like you mentioned.

I wonder if the driver issue on these also applies to the Tea 2.

Yes, Livestream of you working a repair, please it would be very interesting watching you do the replacements. I own a set of Xenns but really am concerned for all my iems, the other day I changed brass nozzles of katos and found a beatiful jade-blue colored patina on them. Eventhough this set I use for relaxing, not workout and i do not live in a humid zone! I have been throwing every dissecant bag I come across with to my iem case, the failure comes as my case is not airtight and constantly being opened or even left opened for a couple days at times. I would very much appreciate it if anyone could share the link to a iem dryer, never seen it on Ali and my search did not produce a related product. thank you. Even though I don´t repair and know next to nothing about iem components, I enjoyed so much the video, very educational. Also good to learn and love them from the inside and the amount of work poured into them. Thank You.

Speaking of cheap tweeters, have you tried the LS store (e-audio?) 31736? I got some and was planning on pairing them with their dual 29689 and a dynamic. Do you think they're good quality compared to knowles?

They're not as good as knowles but they're better than bellsing in my opinion. LS is a very good store to buy from, I actually just checked e-audio prices on alibaba in QTY of

@@hi-friaudioman Thanks for the answer! Unfortunately LS store doesn't seem to exist or at least deliver to germany anymore so that's just what I have left. I'll definitely keep the 33518 in mind.

I am not sure. I have never heard a dull BA but I would imagine that damage or debris like earwax could make them sound dull.

How do you rate the build quality of the JH Audio products vs the UE and vs 64's?

I haven't had the opportunity to see any of them in person but if I happen to get my hands on any ill definitely have a look inside. I've seen pictures of the U12T and the build looks decent from what I can tell, the internal structure looks 3D printed with outer metal shell. Also just a little side note, I'm close by the offices of JH, maybe someday I could film a tour of their facilities and post a video of it.

These are the most expensive IEMs I've ever bought. It's reassuring to know someone who obviously knows what they are talking about thinks that they are a quality item.

There might be, but this pair is really old and dealing with chi-fi is pretty difficult unless you go through a reputable store. Most of the time they will just ignore you unless you make a big fuss and that is just the unfortunate part of dealing with chifi manufacturers. :-(

That DD is a pile of crap. From what you describe, definitely a good idea to change the DD.

The material quality is really good, but yeah something with the build of these they die right and left. Also it turns out that mangrid made a stealth dd change sometime in production because the one I showed came out of my pair and the ones I just took apart featured black carbon bio-fiber which looks more expensive.
