the same, I have it for 15 years and it is a happiness for my ears ..that's why I suffered from seeing how he destroyed this bose I think it traumatizes me and now I see my bose with more love ..

Think Bose does a great job, if you see all the independent cheap components with an cheap design creating a overall great characteristic sound. It doesn’t compare with other brands on studio quality but thats not the goal of bose. They use a very sophisticated DSP that creates that specific sound which is great for movies and music for a very large target group. I heard a lot of setups and have to admit that the surround processing of Bose is Genius and interesting. Afcourse i would not prefer Bose above my Polk Audio setup but i’ve seen a lot of friends listening to different demos in speaker stores and stil willing to pay the big price for a Bose setup. It all comes to own taste and preference.

The Sub Woofer driver has to be smaller because it has to compensate the small satellite speakers which physically cant reach extremely low. Thats's completely normal for sub/sat systems. Although it has more than enough power and clear low bass.

Thanks for the video. That driver looks more like a cheap mid bass driver than a subwoofer driver. No wonder people call Bose overpriced!

Look at B&W formation duo for $4000 usd they dont use a sub they use a 6 inch mid range driver to handle all the sub bass almost every company that isnt bass heavy does it you got companies like svs klipsch jbl that will have an actual sub but higher end they wont and will keep it super flat bose isnt as clear but 0 distortion and little to no resonance and can take a shitty cheap speaker and make it sound amazing other companies turn high end speaker drivers and make them sound stunning but still bose $4,000 flagship is cheaper then B&W $20,000 flagship lot of audio fans dont see that just depends big speakers or small speakers some people don't like their space being crowded some dont mind at all some one wants a clean minimalistic look some wants a bad ass looking set up for cars example some people want racing stripes super slam on their sports cars some one wants a clean nice paint job and that's it just depends on the person

absolutely i build a 4th "band pass" half the size of a 12 inch ported Bose ..and it 20 db louder and lower for 5 % of the price .4th "band pass" are normally bigger

For this built box of subwoofer is and company 4 tech is nice built sub on box that created fusion bass of sub

I have the same subwoofer with the bose Cinemate. Looks like no tech is used in making the woofer, cheap driver boxed up to give you reasonable bass. I dont think I would ever buy a bose.
