What's Inside A Venus Flytrap?
Ғылым және технология
Venus flytraps rarely catch flies, despite their name - instead, spiders and ants make up most of their diet. When a victim walk by and brushes against a trigger hair on the inside of the trap’s modified leaves, it sets off an electrical signal. If the bug doesn’t escape within 20 to 30 seconds, the trap slams shut faster than you can blink!

In ancient Egypt, you were considered blessed and/or favored by multiple gods and goddesses if you had lizards in your house. They ate all the mosquitos carrying diseases and virii, keeping the food and residents healthy and water supplies free of egg clutches. If you have lizards, you're a third of the way there. Flytrap flora help a lot. As well as non-venomous carnivorous spiders that nest in webs in corners of ceilings. Live in harmony with these things and you'll be happy.

@Carnivorous Plant Channel Anything that'll give rid of insects that aren't suppose to be in my house is good to me.
Venues Flytraps are easy to take care of if you know the trick. Buy them cheap at Walmart or wherever only if they look healthy. Walmart and places that sell them usually water them from tap water all the other plants get, and that is fatal to Venus Flytraps if they get too much. Buy them if they still look healthy, then douche them with a few gallons of rain water or distilled water over a period of several days, washing all the bad water and minerals out of the growing medium where their roots are growing. This is essential. Rinse them out for several days. A week. Keep them wet and in a sheltered place with mild sun. Keep rinsing those roots. Don't worry if they stand in water for a little while, they'll be fine. Rinsing out the bad water and minerals is a key to rehabbing them from any store.

Imagine being the first person to discover this thing like “does that plant have teeth? DID IT JUST EAT THAT SPIDER?!”
The flytrap is the real life inspiration for the Piranha plants in the Super Mario games.
Title of the video starts at 2:28
A Venus fly trap sure does understand "Closed mouth don't get fed" pretty well.
"Feed Me,Seymour"!!!! 😂😂😂
How in the hell did this plant evolve to do this? And about how long did it take?🤔🤔🤔

@@meepcity48 That tells us "Why" they evolved to eat bug. I'm asking "How" did the plant develop the mechanism to do it?

@@hlwatts9979 These all depend on random chance created by their genetic diversity, higher diverse you are more chance you can get in evolution. In sort, it is all bc of coincidence. It is not how the plants want to develop, it is because there were high biodiversity and intense competition during ancient time. Plants as well as animals, try their best to survive, due to mutation and selection, some mechanisms/characteristics were kept till now but the other just die out. Ex. A group of plants lived in the place at 3:27 , they might all develop their own features(we don't know bc they all die out now). One day one of them can absorb nutrient from leaves! Then this new specie grew stronger, its population colonized rapidly, no one can compete with it. Then the place were covered with this plant...until one day, one of them can catch insect with leaves! Then not only the new plant can absorb nutrition randomly from its leaves also can catch its own prey, the higher efficiency of getting nutrition makes it become new conqueror of these area.......ect. Similar procedure carry on for a loooooooooooooooooooooooong time till today the flytrap we see. This is all bc of coincidence of mutation, selection. Otherwise, there might had be more strange weird plants or creatures than flytrap if they had not be replaced by other species(the ancestry of flytrap).

I blink four times faster than the venus fly trap.😂
It makes me really uncomfortable when the spikes on the venus fly trap don’t completely align when they close.
