Wow - six years! Congrats, Alyn!
Thank you for 6 years of inspiration. Miss the old camper van vlogs.
For a long long time, I've been avidly following the progression of your channel and watching your videos, and your journey has been nothing short of remarkable. I express my gratitude for the insightful content that personally motivated me to brave even the coldest nights in pursuit of experiencing something I believe everyone should genuinely appreciate and care about. The stars, the constellations, The Milky Way, the meteor showers and God knows what not have I seen just because you inspired me to. Words fall short in capturing the extent to which you've fostered a deep appreciation for the celestial wonders within me. Even now, as I gaze upon the night sky and behold the stars, I extend my thanks, grateful that you played a pivotal role in cultivating my affection for something I earnestly hope everyone else discovers and falls in love with as well. Congrats and Thank you Alyn!❤️
Rest in peace. You’ve impacted my life for the better, don’t know what I would do without watching you amazing videos. You’re the reason why I got into astronomy, I will never forget you. RIP. 😔
Well done Alyn - your success is so well deserved. Onwards and upwards.
CONGRATS Alyn….it has been an awesome adventure…can’t wait for the next six years!!!🎉🎉🎉
Six years! Amazing and congratulations. You have helped SO many photographers who want to capture the night sky.

Six years! Thank you so much for all the education, inspiration and joy that you've shared. Also, we have all joined you on your facial hair/long hair/short hair journey during that time as well! 😆 Keep the vlogs coming, we really appreciate them!

Congrats
Congrats Alyn !! 🎉🎉
How serendipitous. Just looking for info on Mars Venus conjunction in Aquarius as the sky is divine tonight . Then I notice your name .Hi my name is Alyn too . Pleasure to view your content 🙏
Congratulations Alan ✨ always love your content ❤️
Congrats on 6 years Alyn! 🎉
Congratulations Alyn
Your travels at night to capture the stars is always a great find. This year all new moons are at the beginning of the month, so the 9th of Feb. and 5 days before and after the MW will be visible. You can work around weather problems with the 5 days before and after, before you will get a full moon like with the long exposure under the the MW. Yes it will be very early 5am or 6am and only get an hour to capture before the blue hour.
Great videos and info! Thanks.
Congratulations 👏 bro
Great video! Love your channel ❤

Just can't believe it.
Alyn! I appreciate the dso contest! I asked about if we could submit them awhile ago and you approved. Glad they are getting their own category this month. I hope to do some landscape at some point this summer, but for now it's all deep sky. Also very much liked the showcasing of different DSOs for this month early in the video. My sky has been nothing but clouds, but luckily I have some images from last month that would go great for this region.

The idea of WITNS is to encourage people to get out and capture images that month :)

@@AlynWallace is it required to be taken this month or is one from last month okay? Should have clear skies this weekend to hopefully capture something new

As I said, the idea of WITNS is to inspire people to get out and shoot something that month. People upload old images all the time, most of them are easy to spot but obviously I don't have the time to be so anal about it@@jcarroll276

Yay Allen you made February edition
Posted A little early but I’m all for it 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣️🔥
I live your content! God bless you!
Hi Alyn, I'll be in Brazil for a few weeks in Febuary, what to look for while in the southern hemisphere? Love the videos, thank you so much!
suits you!
6th year anniversary is traditionally iron... Iron is a very durable and long lasting metal, which provides an excellent goal or pattern for this channel - congrats! 🎉
Pronouncing WITNS as wit-ens instead of witness is such a missed opportunity for a pun relevant to the WITNS contest. But, congratulations! Thank you for doing these, and may we have many more years to come.
Venus is rather low now and I spotted it out of the window at about 0650 when I was getting up last week but it's getting lower and the dawn is getting earlier.
I wanted to take a picture my house is nearby river and huge tree blocking the horizon when two come up
nice
Stars ? Planets? Galaxies? Its been cloudy forever...
Sir when will you release Geminids meteor shower vlog?

Butt-head: He said, "Orion's jewels!" Beavis: Um, heh heh, yeah!

TP for my telescope
Can anyone helt me plz😅 I bought a 8” Dobson in september last year. And i Think its time for me to invest in a New eyepiece. I would like to have a closer look at the planets. But what size eyepiece should i buy? Currently have the standard 25mm plösl. 😊

I also got a dob recently and for planet viewing i recommend a 7mm or a eyepiece. Ive only gone out with my scope a few times but the 7mm gives a nice view of jupiter and its moons so its a good high power eyepiece to start out with. Im no professional tho so you may want to do some of your own research. Goodluck!

Happy 6th Anniversary! I don't want to sound like a grumpy old woman, but my daughter and I are planning another trip to Iceland later this year and I remembered there was a section devoted to the Aurora Borealis in your book. So, I started reading it and for a moment I thought I was experiencing some kind of brain trauma, but it turns out that pages 433-440 appear twice and pages 441-448 are missing. Is there any way I might be able to find out what I am missing? :(

@@AlynWallace Sorry to have bothered you Alyn. The book was a gift and I have since found out it was ordered from the publisher's website. I sent an email and they are going to post out another copy tomorrow. Looking forward to reading more about the Aurora.
I normally enjoy and learn from your videos. I apprecriate the need to do business, however your self-promotion in this video was a bit intense and too early as it could encourage the viewer to leave since you haven't captured their interest yet with the content they are looking for.

You’re watching this video for free, he’s invested a lot in gears and skills to make these videos. A little self promotion isn’t going to hurt anyone.

You coulda skipped forward in the video quicker than you wrote this comment. Some people find ads in the middle jarring, others like them at the beginning and out the way. You can't please everyone but thanks for the feedback
What prime would you recommend for the canon 90d ???
