Storm King Art Center is located in Orange County, NY on the western side of the Hudson Valley. Geographically, it could be considered upstate depending whom you ask. Technically, it isn't because anyone who owns a business up there most likely will be forking over some of their money to the MTA in the form of commuter taxes for the rails that run to and from NYC even though they've never taken a train in their life. It's the same principle for anyone who owns a business in NYC and have to pay a commuter tax to the MTA. Upstate NY is really any place beyond Albany where people who live there don't really commute to the city. They could if they wanted to but it would a terrible ordeal.
The grounds are so beautiful! A must see!
