We are allowed to use are phones, well I am a senior so that may explain it but I think that that is a stupid rule!

In my volleyball bag - -jersey -spandex -clothes to practice in -waterbottle -court shoes -GC sweater -deodorant -lotion -kneepads -chapstick -food (cliff bars,mini Gatorade, doritos,fruit snacks, and pringles.) -phone

Knee pads prevent floor burns (skinned knees) because they prevent friction between your knees and the floor. The floor burns you get from diving without knee pads are basically the same as rope burns. You gave the correct diving technique, but she's right too, knee pads are relevant protection.

My list Volleyball Spandex/tank top/socks Sweats Shoes Knee/arm pads Deodorant Hair ties/headbands Snacks (granola, cereal, nuts, etc) LARGE water bottle

yeah and like you said, your knees eventually hit the ground and trust my it hurts a lot to have your bare knees hitting a wood floor. if there was no use for knee pads then why would everybody where them?! I don't know why you're arguing this issue obviously knee pads serve a purpose.

I did the same thing to one of mine and it doesn't if you use sharpie!

omg don't even get me started on out conditioning...we do a ton! every practice we do circuits around the gym with stuff like burpees, mountain climbers, ladders, v sits, wall sits, squat jumps, planks, flutters, etc for like a minute each with about 10 stations, and we normally go like twice around. then on easy days we'll go for like a 2 mile run around the track. so like before our games started we were doing this 5 days a week. i pretty much wanted to kill myself hahah

Definitely knee pads, and extra headbands/hair ties. If you think you will need them bring some ankle braces(I don't use ankle braces, but I should). I usually also bring a portable ice/heat pack just in case I get an injury. If you want to, bring perfume and deodorant as well. Hope this helped!
