I like to think he was talking about people carrying stuff just to fit in. Carry what you need. Need what you carry.

I'd add an at least minimal first aid kit especially with kids around - some Band-Aids, sterile pads, triple action Polysporin first aid antibiotic ointment. Also either I totally missed it or you actually forgot to mention why you don' like to use the front pocket for much stuff ;)

I have either this bag or an identical one and love it. Comfortable to weir and holds way more than expected. I also like the water bottle pouch for stuffing in packable totes/backpacks/ponchos. I also replaced the zipper pulls with Gear Ties (silicone covered metal twist ties) twisted up into a tight helix.

I concur

Sling bag is for travel on an Airplane, so most of my stuff is similar without the TSA confiscatibles. Difference is a lens cloth, wired earbuds, pair of foam ear plugs, and a 3 in 1 coffee packet.

I like cross body sling bags as long as they're made of the right material. I like the waterproof bags used for water sports or diving.

So many slings that have come into the market the last 3 years.. still rocking my vanquest 4L dendrite, also have a Wandrd fanny pack 2L.. Never seen those dehydrated tissues before, will def look into that.. a particular item I carry edc in my sling are plastic shims frm home depot. Comes in handy when youre seated at a wobbly table in a restaurant. Great content!

A decent pocket nail clipper is a great idea. Sometimes you smash or bust a nail and being able to clean it up on the go really helps. I’m a big fan of having a nail clipper if not in my pocket then nearby for sure.

I always have a pair with me (along with tweezers) because my job has me frequently digging metal slivers out of my fingers and hands. Definitely makes my day a little better by having them all the time.
