The side strap is to put the tail end of your zipper through, so you had it right the first time. It's not for water bottles or hair brushes. So surprised so many purse enthusiasts don't know this.

In the beginning my bag was uncomfortable to carry because of my laptop, but I have gotten used to it ❤️🔥. In any case i don’t have my laptop, the bag is comfortable to carry
