What's in a Name? Part 4 | Lost Louisiana (2007)

Have you wondered how a town gets named Plain Dealing? When did the city of Thibodaux lose the “e” from its name? Was the town of Eunice named after a person? Charlie and the Lost Louisiana crew also head to Bogalusa and Opelousas to find out the origin of the town’s names. Charlie talks to local historians and long time residents to get the full story about the towns and cities.

My favorite part was the paintings the man painted of his grandchildren being cherubs. Now, that's the sweetest thing I've ever seen. ❤️ Thanks for sharing all of these beautiful places. I have a lot family members that live in Mississippi. Some live in Natchez. I've visited them a few times and I've only been in Louisiana a couple times just by crossing the Mississippi River/ Bridge in Natchez. Just to say I've been there. 😉 I know I had some great great grandparent's that lived in Louisiana and I still have some distance family members that still live in Louisiana. One is a doctor and the other one is a Judge. They come from the Wilson family. That's what a cousin of mine told me. I've never met them though. There's a street named after one of them. That's about all I remember. I'd loved to meet them someday.
