nuneaton had a great night life, buzzin on fri & sat, merryvale, town talk, co op club, the granby,,,and more. council killed that.

All councils have become scum, more so than ever. Town centre 'planners' ! ! ! Destroyers more like. What a gorgeous art deco building the Co-op social was. Never been to Nuneaton but the story is the same all over.

Didn't realise Nuneaton had great musical history like it did with bands like Aerosmith. It had a great music scene when i lived there and played in a few bands when i was in my teens. Mainly playing at the Kingswood Tav on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It was the best years of my life and some of the craziest!!! Lol

I know bands like Nazareth played the Kingswood but it was the Nags Head every time for me.

It wasnt the pig and whistle that was the problem that was a gr8 pub it was called the welly that was when the trouble was there from the early 80s that was the trouble bab.

Lidl brought art college (secretly without the council's knowledge (yeh, apparently), Cut down massive mature trees which have been growing for past 70+ years which was 1st anyone knew something is going on ??? Planning permission sought to demolish in march 2022. Guess what ? We don't need any more Lidl's or Tesco's in this small town !!! Thanks well enjoyed video.

Mr .Creosote + Nags Head was down to the same crap family that closed every pub they ever got involved with! They even fucked up a pub by a very busy station! Very high footfall, what could go wrong? WTF! RIP The Crown! God help Nuneaton. Or has God deserted Nuneaton altogether? Seems like it! Ho Hum! Time for a David Cameron walk-away-from-the- referendum-style whistle!

The Nags was a great pub whilst Brian was alive. I stopped going there after 2000 so I don't know what happened after he died.
