12:30 - That white(or now off white) bedspread is museum quality. I would contact the local pioneer in the state where the former owner was located. It is older than 1968! I'd say 1900's worth MORE than 100.00. 42:49 Cookie press.

The mermaid & other towels are done with what's called liquid embroidery. My aunt had polio when she was a kid so she only had use of one hand. She couldn't do regular embroidery so my grandma got her the liquid kind. Different colors came in tubes, like paint but the tips were like a pen. She worked all year making pillowcases, handkerchiefs & other things to give to everyone for Christmas. She loved doing it. I wish I still had some of those items

Hot sauce I totally get where you're coming from. I have a couple 1000 books. But I'm older than you, I'm 55 so I've had longer to accumulate those. Those are just the ones I keep. Because I will reread them. Some of them are my mom's. I have to send back to her house. Because she let me read them. Our local library you can buy used books there 3 for a dollar or 50 cents a piece. Plus yard sales and online eBay I use those to find books are in a series. That I'm missing books. So I can read the whole thing..

I always love your videos, but this one totally thrilled me 22:58 Those are done in Ballpoint Paint Embroidery. The paint was oil based fabric paint in a tube with a ballpoint dispenser. It was more popular in the late '60's and early '70's than now, but supplies (Aunt Martha brand) can still be purchased. Back then there were several companies that sold the paint.

There was a fabric paint that was used in the 70's called Artex which was sold in home shows/parties like Tupperware parties in the home. That is similar to the painted items in the chest.

The pot is for condiments like mustard, jam etc. The swan is for flannels you roll them up and put them in there it is mid century. the calender looks like bark cloth. i wonder if this chest belonged to her mother who passed in the 70s or 80s and things were packed away an forgotten about, just going on grandma smellies like the bubble bath and powder puff, the 'turtle' was a kids sewing project maybe

10:14 There used to be craft kits where you bent the wire into petal shape. Then you would dip it in different colors to make flower petals. And then put them together to make flowers. The day of the week towels.Right before the Pyrex. Those are created with inon on patterns. And then you would fill them in with paint from tubes. I don't remember what kind of paint was in the tubes. But it was specialized for that process.. The tip of the tube, was used as a paintbrush so you just squeezed it right out of the tube.
