What are some collector cars you think are under OR over-valued? 👇🏼

Weirdly, the XJ220 is still reasonable and should be up there with the greatest.

I think the Aston DB AR1 is pretty undervalued. Only 99 made, V12 manual roadster, hand formed aluminum bodywork and relatively low running costs due to DB7 underpinnings. Each car is also specced out pretty uniquely. The cheapness and somewhat awkward styling of the DB7 has kept them down a bit but I think the AR1 deserves much better.

Jaguar XJ220 is way undervalued - super rare, beautiful design. Also cars like the 4-door Aston Martin Lagonda & Aston Martin V8 Zagato's (Coupe & Convertible) from the 1980's - both extremely rare and wacky. The Alfa Romeo SZ and Maserati Shamal is also very interesting. The overall production of cars like Ferrari, Aston Martin, Maserati etc. was much much lower in the 1980's and 1990's. Now the yearly production of most of those brands exceeds what they previously made in a decade or two. So I don't think the majority of cars made in the last 20 years will ever be worth big bucks.

996 Turbo, GT2 and GT3 are the most undervalued Porsches. And some would say the 996 gt1, the 996 gt1 is a evolution of the 993 gt1.

The green 94 Diablo SE30 is such a special car! And then the 95 SE30 Jota green on green. Chassis #130 I believe. Both are so incredible looking, but then the sound! Rolling art..... 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Ugh, I need people like them in my life who can talk cars like this.
Great episode. Well worth continuing the format. People are always interested in what the market is doing
Really enjoyed this! Hoping you do a weekly or bi-weekly podcast-style upload. Maybe get a better sound set up but again super insightful and appreciate hearing these expert thoughts.

I feel the XJ220 is very undervalued based on the significance. The ultimate art and still driveable as I know and own one (crazy fast💨). The Murcielago SV. With under 200 produced and the sound - last engine base it should be much higher. I do agree with you John on the Countach Lowbody. Owning a lowbody + non lowbody they look like completely different cars and they are art. They also drive like gokart and much more fun than the later cars. The 550 Barchetta I love but it just does not have the presence and looks to go crazy in my opinion.
Super cool format - thank you guys ❤
Great conversation, more of these please!
Guys, please do more content like this! Thoroughly enjoyable 🙏🏽
Great video, very thoughtful and informative, thank you.
What an amazing, passionate, and informative talk! Thank you for sharing all the valuable information about these timeless machines. Hopefully, in the near future, the 550 Maranello and the Murciélago will increase in value because they absolutely deserve it.

Great conversation. You guys should do this every six months at least as the market changes.
Guys, I loved this. I'm a huge car nut and unfortunately I don't have the patience for these sitdowns. Keeping it flowing had me watching every second of it, plus, we need more lambo conversations on it's history and historic models because it it currently slepted on (but won't be in the future). Great job guys. Question for the next one, could you do a little 411 on the 1999 Diablo Alpine Editions and the 1999 Diablo Momo Editions. Who was Vik? Was Rosso Vik named after him? What happened to him? I believe 6 Rosso Vik's were made in the Alphine Edition too but I am not sure. Shed some light on these two special edition '99 models please, thank you so much.
Round-table format is the way forward in my opinion. It wouldn't offend me to see some guests too. Invite Chris Harris, Bolian, Cammisa, etc. to join maybe.
Corvette ZR1 (c4)
I agree with all you said and I would add the Noble M600 and 512tr to the list
Not sure when we will see a public T50 sale once they are built, but those could quickly be $10m+ easy.

thank you! to contribute i would say people are gonna start to appreciate people behind cars as a factor, meaning like if a car is from the same guy who made the f1, then that car gonna go up! yes yes already happening but if you look actually closely you can find Unbelievable links, and you can now appreciate the personality of that great designer in what was a "bad" car, which elevates said bad car to a metaphorical "lower model line" of the "designer atelier"

9:50 there is not a correct amount of units, it's all relative to demand. intentional undersupply of the market is an investment in the future of the brand. i would like to see brands take the profit from sales and produce extra models, to be sold when second hand market achieves different bars of appreciation.
Love the format. Surprised the veyron wasn’t in anyone’s top 3. I feel like those are $3-$5m cars soooooon. Spec is key tho… Low body countach, yes please!! Does anyone care about the EB110? I don’t know anyone that does😬 Love looking at a 550, but they feel heavy. Just didn’t love driving it. Diablo GT $2.5m soon!! One or two perfect examples away at an RM auction and it’s gonna explode the whole thing… SE30’s won’t be far behind!… I could keep on going lol
What about the Gallardo Balboni?
I like the format but audio needs to be improved 👍🏼
Please put some sound treatment on the walls and ceiling. Even though you're using DJI microphones (meh), the audio is echoy and has a hiss.
With scopes of 10 years you need to start putting in the inflation factor
I already put in my predictions for what cars will rise and fall. I think you also are going to start to see a creep in some of the limited edition Lamborghini models like the Super Leggera, the Squadra Corsa, the Diablo GT, the Porsche GT2 market has already risen, the 991 generation GT3, and 9nce Bugatti pushes out this next car, Imthink Veyron and Chiron prices might go up since that will be what is required to get the next Bugatti is owning another Bugatti previously, it will drive the demand up for those earlier cars, or just people that want 'the full set'
I thought I was going to lose my mind until Steven came along with that word : RUF

Hey Boris, not sure, but give us a call and see if Stephen might be able to help you out
I disagree about the barchetta being under-valued. I think the cars we are seeing go crazy in value are all about the driving experience and, to your point about the top being just enough to get you home, i think people will shy away from the barchetta because it is harder to live with than a base 550 and over double the price. This would especially be true if the person buying wants to put miles on and not just park it.
Cracked me up that he mentioned the W16 drivetrain is overused😂😂… so tell me how overused the Lambo V12 has been lol
This format is ok for once in a while like a monthly thing but it’s definitely not your guys bread and butter, the car features, shop tours, events and inventory walk arounds are way better than this, btw big fan keep up the good work.
What do you think about the Porsche market? Specifically the crazy ADMs on the 992 GT3 RS, and the S/T?
Painted my MX5 to look like a GT3 RS… 👍
I was in Montreal during Formula 1 race weekend last week, saw a few Ferrari’s… saw A LOT of modern Lamborghini’s. These days, the brand is more German than Italian and it shows. Too much Volkswagen Audi involvement whereas Ferrari still has some of its identity.

I personally find this blend of German build-quality and Italian design to be an ideal marriage - even if they've become a bit too German. I'd like to see more cars like the STO. Ferrari, on the other hand, although a purebread brand, still has notable problems with build quality compared to Lamborghini.

@@Canadian_Gamer As I understand, Ferrari split from the FCA in 2015. and by 2016. it became public company. Stellantis on the other hand formed in the 2021.
I think this is really cool especially for those of us who do not have $500+k for a car to invest in. Always great to hear the insight of the experts that live and breath what is currently happening and what might be the next big cars to invest in. Cheers!

Hi guys I’m from Chicago very nice 👍 keep up the great work
a double swapped Miura SV in an unoriginal specification with a 90s restoration poorly done commands the highest value seen in the public market? What a completely overvalued car especially considering the lack of racing pedigree, multiple iterations and total lack of provenance in comparison to a 250 GTO.
2000s m Cars and amgs. Aventador.
Did you film this with a camcorder? Terrible audio and video quality
I guess there’s a pull back there also, as everywhere else in the economy

@@WeAreCuratedcould be, but how many Miuras and 250 GTOs are behind my sold WW annually. If. Wanted to play with vintage cars I’d stick to air cooled Porsches as they have their own economic ecosystem.
The Miura was a rip of the GT40. It is almost as if Lamborghini got a piece of tracing paper and copied it. Both are pretty cars but come on... Lamborghini does not deserve any points for the styling. That is all thanks to Ron Bradshaw...
Overpriced track days at a cost hmm
Numbered cars are not truly rare. Its artificial. Unless its a one-off. You cant call a Gallardo rare, just because they made 50 of a mass produced model. I hate when manufacturers do that, it's a gimmick to ask for more money.
I'm 29. LFA's are whack. Don't worry, you guys are right
I think TVR as a brand is mostly overseen by the public and especially the modern Sagaris ticks most boxes for a supercar. Also the Cerbera and their apperance in the video games as well as them being allowed now to import to the US will let those cars climb a lot.
Its clear from being an avid subscriber that you primarily deal with the very high end of collectability however, don't you think "Blue Chip" models like the Acura NSX, Toyota Supra, Type R, S2000 etc. would become like the 70's and 80's muscle cars? I'm not saying every car in those models would be due to production volumes, however, there are limited cars like the NSX and Supra TT that weren't produced in large numbers. I just think the demographic of the population will start to switch and for example who wants a Duisenberg now?
You all do realize the "petrodollar agreement" expired just days ago right? This, right here right now is why 1920s cars have value. Built at the height with all the things... downhill from here on out.. 1970s early 80s Mustang 2 anyone???
