Hey man I use Anytime Fitness, not only more locations than planet.. but your own personal bathroom just like those. I pay $35 a month but it’s totally worth it on the road. I think there’s 5k+ locations worldwide and you get access to any of them 24/7. They’re in small little towns along the road and also every major city, can’t be a better Vanlife gym imo. Thanks for video, I’ve also passed that sign a lot and never went down. Cheers

I passed that sign for years and thanks to you I now know why it was named as it is.

The sunglasses are still available I found. And lil fact, Mr. Love who founded Loves passes away within the past month. And I am a trucker, local now but had been OTR at one point. But the showers in truck stops are usually deemed "hospital clean" since they wipe and sanitize them after each use with fresh towels. The best for our drivers moving America.

I would definitely watch a clean and organize the van video

I think it's an interesting place - Calico is a desert ghost town, theme-park style. Just outside of Barstow in the Mojave Desert-designated the state of California's official “silver rush ghost town” in 2005-Calico started its life as a lawless 19th-century mining camp.

The Flying J on the other side of I15 just remodeled and they currently are pretty good showers. I do agree that Loves has the best showers out there. Been by that Zzyzx Rd at least twice a month for 6 years and I always wanted to see what was down there. Thanks for for showing it.

Lol, the Chevron station at Baker, I can't believe how many times I filled up at that exact station.

So ttypical there are so many places such as that within the state. Some even had hotels that the water ran through and all the professed healing process. Look at the palm trees you can imagine there may have been lovely staying places. The salt water is like an exfoliant also so it makes sense that when a person gets out of it their body is smooth and the dead layer of skin has been removed. Interesting if you go on a search for other places like this. Oh, yes cool shades. I need to look them up. Your Maryland neighbor.

Right over in that area is the musical road. It plays a song when you drive down it. Its near lancaster CA.

Did you build all the cabinets from scratch or did you buy premade cabinets. You make some of the best videos, no hype no bullshit no fake personality.

Anyone who has lived in San Bernardino or Riverside County in California, has gone past this road on the way to Vegas! There even is a band named after it! I know Calico isn't far from it and yet to go there!

i used to be youtuber i had 500k followers, after a while i had mental problem and i had to leave youtube for good. but now instead i watch you and people like you travelling around country or world that is so good to watch, i even watch while i eat my meal on desk.. you are super cool guy. keep up the good work.. Get a Loves loyalty card and fill up on gas there when you can. Most of the truck stop chains have them. They usually have cheap gas. With every 100 gallons purchased you get a free shower or at least you used to. And don’t forget to leave a buck or two for the attendant if the place is clean. They work hard.

I always wondered about that road when I use to head to Vegas everytime I passed that road. Now next time I pass I'll stop and check it out. Thanks

At least the commode is there in an emergency if you get sick nowhere near a bathroom.

Just so you know there are a ton of closures along the PCH because of road collapses. My brother in law lives in Big Sur and they have been locked in from both directions for a while.

A couple of California suggestions. Calico Ghost town in Yermo is pretty cool. Ventura (where I live) is a little surfer town with quiet beaches. Solvang is a dutch town alittle bit north of Santa Barbara. A little farther north from there is Los Alamos which is a small historic town. It's really only open from Thursday - Sunday though.

Lol Ryan hates doing dishes so much his tour of a “deep cleaned” van has a sink full of dishes 😂

I’ve lived in California my whole life and am currently residing in Santa Cruz, California where I went to school. Originally from Riverside I’ve made the drive up and down multiple times and completely agree that Loves is the best! Also I’ve done the drive to Vegas multiple times as a kid and now and I would recommend stopping at the BARSTOW DEL TACO. They basically do everything Barstow style and they are basically double meat for free. Only del taco to do that.

I stop at original Del Taco in YERMO (Not Barstow)every time on my way to Vegas. This is the exit near the tallest Thermometer. Yes, the original Del Taco is a larger version of their taco.

Zzyzx Road mystery solved! I took a photo of that sign, but didn’t venture down that road. In July, I had the entire month off and drove coast to coast covering 48 states in 24 days. Some of the highlights include, Henry Ford Museum, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, NFL Hall Of Fame, all 9/11 crash site memorials, National Corvette Museum, Florida Keys, New Orleans, Four Corners, Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Golden Gate Bridge, Multnomah Falls, Seattle Space Needle and Devil’s Tower. 13,482 miles in a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. Also prefer Loves for showering, except Tacoma, Washington, Locked down overnight with armed guard in the morning!!! Averaged over 500 miles a day and 27 mpg’s for the entire trip. I only had a month, so I had to keep moving. Safe Travels my friend

Our hope is to make it to Alaska to visit and see how Fairbanks would be, but first will be Washington, we’ve been all down to Florida and Louisiana , Mississippi, Texas in our cars .. we do the car life with our pets and travel, we are in Vegas at the moment so been vlogging here too.. keep up ur videos and can’t wait to see the Alaska trip..

I have driven by that sign at least a hundred times or more in my life but never actually driven down it to see the springs. Cool.

Stop by downtown Riverside, CA if you have time. The Mission Inn is a nice place to stop by and is one of Riversides oldest parts. Oh and there’s a 24 hour ramen spot called Saku Ramen, very good. Oh and if want some a nice cold beer, there’s a place called Stone Church Brewing, been twice and every time was great!

New subscriber!! My son used to live in Barstow, CA. When visiting him and on the way to Vegas, we would make a pit stop at Baker. We've driven by that Exit for Zzyzz Rd but never took it. Have you ever made a stop in Calico? It's now a cute little town that has some stores and a really good restaurant. Worth the visit and time.
