10:50 “The Mason Jar” sounds like one of the BEST specialty restaurants currently at sea. This needs to come to more Royal Caribbean ships ASAP!!

Extremely helpful! Another helpful thing would be a comparison of the different ice shows and other entertainment between ships. Like which are Broadway shows vs original shows there was some on this video which was helpful.

Thanks for doing this, Matt! I’ve been on Allure, Harmony, and Symphony. For MY experience they were all very similar (we are 50+s, no kids, not super active) . We are all about the entertainment and the food. It’s a win-win no matter what you choose.

Great video, was wondering where Sabor was still available. Another video idea would be a similar rundown to this, but for each of the major RC terminals. For example, I only learned recently that the Galveston Port is pretty far from the main airport there.

Just got back from harmony this past weekend. Our second oasis class cruise. Great time. Fantastic shows of 1887 and ventriloquist.

My favourite Royal Caribbean AND Oasis class ship is definitely Oasis of the Seas. (Might be a very premature favourite considering its the only Royal Caribbean ship I've been on so far). It has sooooo many things to do. The dining is fabulous. The service is great. Walking around the ship was lovely. It was also very easy to navigate despite its size. I was on it last week which was my first Royal Caribbean Cruise. It was definitely the best week of my life. I don't think I've ever had a better week. I am now very obsessed with the ship still watching all these videos 🤣 but I love it

Thank you for the information. I had been wondering about the differences between the Oasis class ships. This will help in decision of which ship to sail on in future cruises. We sailed on Oasis her maiden year 2010 and absolutely loved her 🥰

Go on Symphany it’s an amazing ship and you will have a great time

Great video explaining the differences. So far I have been on Allure and Wonder. Allure holds special place as it was my first cruise. Going on Oasis next year for the itinerary and looking for to it. Can't wait to see what they do for Utopia.

This is will my first time in 7 hrs cruising again and going on Royal Caribbean. We cruised Carnival before. We are going a few days I’m excited and nervous at the same time. There’s so much to do I’m afraid I’ll miss most of it. My goal is to see Cats the musical 😻. This is a graduation gift to myself ❤️.

I'm in the middle of planning my 40th birthday cruise on the Oasis! It'll be my first Oasis class ship, so I'm super excited. I really wanted to go on Symphony but it wasn't sailing the itinerary I wanted at the time I'm going :( But I'll take a newly applied ship in the meantime, lol! The last RC ship I went on was Enchantment of the Seas right after its amplification when they lengthened the ship!

The amplification of Oasis of the Seas has made this ship even better than Symphony of the Seas. Oasis class ships are the best! Have a great time!

If you are thinking of an inside facing balcony, I would highly recommend one overlooking the carousel area. This way you at least get fresh air from the ocean. We stayed in one facing Central Park - it was a little bit stuffy, beautiful view, but stuffy non-the-less.

We are planning a family cruise for 2024 and we are in research mode! We plan on making the ship the destination so right now we are narrowed down to Odyssey, Symphony, and Wonder. Any idea when they will release the rest of the 2024 schedule? Last time I checked it only went out to April...

Matt, love the videos. On Harmony you mention the Columbus show, is that still currently airing? we leave on harmony in a couple of weeks, but the past couple of cruise compasses I've seen over the last couple of months don't say anything about the columbus show in the royal theather, just Grease.

Samba Grille is my absolutely FAVORITE specialy restaurant. I will be so sorry to see it go when Allure gets Amplified! Blue Planet is no longer offered on Allure. :(

I've just took my first Oasis class ship cruise!! May 1-8 Oasis of the Seas from NJ. It was awesome!!! I loved everything about it. My main hangouts were the spa, vintages, jazz on 4 and the hot tub in the solarium. My only disappointment was that Cats and the Aqua show were canceled. And they were 2 of the main reasons I booked that ship. Other than that everything was fabulous!!! I cruised solo and met so many amazing people including the fantastic staff.🛳🏝🕶💕🥂❤️

You guys were docked next to us at Nassau. I was on Freedom of the Seas May 2nd thru May 6th, my first time with Royal. Oasis looked amazing and wow, so sorry to hear those shows were cancelled, but glad you made the most of it. I will be going on Harmony this November for 8 days to Aruba, Curacao and Labadee. Can't wait!

Oh wow!!! What a coincidence, I got emotional when I saw the Independence of the Seas docked next to us. That was my 1st Royal Caribbean ship and my 1st solo cruise. It left from Fort Lauderdale and went to Labadee and Jamaica. I'm booked on Carnival Celebration November 21st!!!

Our sailing returns to Ft Lauderdale on the 20th right before you sail out. If we could have it our way we would go on both!

Just did Star Class on Allure and we probably wouldn’t have been able to afford it on any other Oasis Class ship. Allure is definitely the value leader.

Symphony of the Seas' Rising Tide Bar fountain underneath is dry and no longer functions.

Any chance you have a spreadsheet to do comparisons?? Not sure which ship to do next. Harmony is my favorite so far but thinking maybe Oasis. Not sure I like the suite neighborhood idea...

157-days until Symphony of the Seas! We are celebrating Grumpy’s 50th birthday and our friend Mike’s retirement. We Chose Symphony because, why not?! We are Taking our two teenage boys, we expect they will disappear for most of the cruise with their new-found friends/activities. While we enjoy meeting new friends and dining with our vacation friends! Can not wait!

Long story short: Allure of the sea is bare bones. Oasis of the Seas has a BBQ joint. Wonder is the best and Symphony has Quatum class restaurants no Lime and Coconut

How many people does the ultimate family room sleep? With 3 bedrooms can 2 familys (8 ppl) sleep comfortably?

Great question. The ship class refers to the size and general structure of the ship. Think of it like car models (Toyota Corolla vs Toyota RAV4).

The one thing that bugs me about rccl ships is why do they have so many specialty dining locations, why can't they make even a few of them included?

I really wish that one of the oasis class ships could come to Australia. I would love to go on wonder of the seas, that ship would be out of this world amazing :) but I read someone say that our ports here won't take ships that large. oh well, I get to go on ovation of the seas next year (our first royal Caribbean cruise) so super excited to be doing that :) just wish it was longer than a 3 night cruise. oh well not to worry, im still very excited to be going :)

These ships are so big they have actual water parks on top of them.

What is the best one to take a 5 year old on... Things to do as a family/family entertainment? Where she is/isn't allowed as far as events and entertainment?

I came to see the difference between the pubs and it wasn't even in this comparison, but I'll come away with a more rounded comparison between them so 🤷

Some differences, but compared to Norwegian, ships in a Royal class are essentially identical.

Thanks for that whirlwind tour across the comparison of these five ships. One general feedback for you to consider is that you tend to speak very fast and sometimes it sounds jumbled or slurred. If it is challenging for some native anglophones to follow you, just imagine how difficult it must be for the non-U.S.A. listeners and those whose first language is not English.

Actual question, you call it both the Wind-Jammer and the Win-Jae-mar....lol why is that?

That’s not true. Harmony was never on the Royal amplified list. She was, however, scheduled for a dry dock in 2021 that would have likely changed features. But Harmony wasn’t on the list of ships Royal announced when Royal amplified was announced

@@RoyalCaribbeanBlog When we booked Harmony for 2020 on our New Year's 2018/19 cruise we were told she was going to be "amplified" while in dry dock. Now, that doesn't mean that their FCS people knew what they were talking about, to be fair, but that's what we were told while they were trying to sell it to us.

Been on Oasis and Symphony. Did not see a single difference. Both great but too damn big but my wife finds crazy deals and just books them. I prefer Freedom Class personally. Gonna give Allure a shot in Sept to Curacao and see how it is.

I still can't believe Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson rented out one of these behemoths for a KZread video. This man played the game of capitalist through sheer unrelenting stubbornness and won.

We took our children age 5 and 7 to the wonder of the seas last week and they said “it’s the Mr. beast ship”….lol

You are Not Guaranteed to see Momma Mia. They have up to 6,000 on ship but only three shows of Momma Mia. They don’t help older people make reservations so they get left out. I was in the stand by line on the last performance of Momma Mia. There were three elderly ladies in motorized vehicles and they were worried they would Not get to see it. No one helped them. Their app for making reservations doesn’t work. Big disappointment.

Why can't you go on the helipad like other ships?

@@car_tar3882 cruises have changed from being based on the destination to the ship itself. I’ve been on the Allure 4 times (pre Harmony) and it’s my favorite out of all the Oasis ships. Yes it needs an upgrade but I’d go on it for nostalgic purposes

@@car_tar3882And the Oasis class was originally upgraded Freedom class ships (basically Icon is upgraded Oasis class ships) but have now transitioned to being upgraded Quantum class ships, hence the changing in appearance

I’m sure all RC Oasis class ships have the same crappy WIFI internet. It’s so disgusting how they charge so much money for garbage WIFI!

You should see what they call wifi on some other cruise lines, like Disney. It will give you a new found appreciation for Royal Caribbean's wifi.
