Yes, it's so good when you are able to understand why things are happening and how they are happening in math instead of blindly doing something

I think of it as just taking the reciprocal Ie: (7/2)^(-3) = (2/7)^3

    I like to start with 1, so you don't need to bring in division early to explain 2⁰, and everything is symmetric: 2³ = 1×2×2×2 = 8 2² = 1×2×2 = 4 2¹ = 1×2 = 2 2⁰ = 1 = 1 2⁻¹ = 1÷2 = ½ 2⁻² = 1÷2÷2 = ¼ 2⁻³ = 1÷2÷2÷2 = ⅛

Please solve this problem ; 3^x + 6^x = 9^x, i m stuck. I have searched all through the web, asked chatgpt and others but nothing. They just show that the solution is 1 but they do not give the steps.

    @@integraliss I m not so foolish, this is the equivalent equation(3^x + 6^x = 9^x is also same as 1 + 2^x = 3^x). You can't just write , 1 + 2^x = 3^x so x = 1. You have to solve it through the steps, or else the problem is solved at its first step, 3^x + 6^x = 9^x , so x = 1.

@@shantikoirala48 If you look at the coordinate system as 1+2^x=y and 3^x=y, you can see that they only intersect at 1 point.

@@integraliss I respect your way of solving, I have indeed checked the coordinate system and they only intersect at one, yes. But there should be an algebraic way to do it. I am in need of that.👍🏻
