Mariupol was a highly important staging ground for Ukrainian defense until it was lost and then they claimed it was a near irrelevant victory for Russia, then Bakhmut was a big deal that would be disastrous to fall to Russia until it did and then was painted as unimportant, and now the most heavily militarized and defended city in Europe is apparently strategically irrelevant. All with a Russian military supposedly running out of everything at all points in time and suffering enormous loses that somehow continuing to secure victories. all with numbers and analysis provided by the Ukrainian government. what and absolute circus of reporting

A simple recipe for how to justify yourself when retreating: "Well, but the enemy lost 7 times more soldiers than we did, so it's more like a victory than a defeat." These figures of 50 thousand dead are calculated for complete idiots. By the way, they don't talk about this in the Western media, but the order to retreat was actually given after part of the Avdiivka garrison began to flee the city, realizing the threat of complete encirclement. Ukrainian troops abandoned hundreds of their wounded and tried to escape under artillery fire, during which more than 800 Ukrainian soldiers died across the fields. Some of the troops in Avdiivka did not know about the encirclement and the order to retreat at all and were captured, by the way, the cleansing of the city is still ongoing, hidden Ukrainian soldiers are being smoked out of the basements of houses. In the Ukrainian media, this flight was presented as an "organized retreat to pre-prepared positions," which is really just a ridiculous lie.

Avdiivka was a main stronghold of Ukraine. They have been building defenses and made it into a fortress back in 2016 and haven’t stop building around it. Ukraine has lost their making stronghold in the Donetsk area and must fall back a great distance in order to keep getting hammered from Russian artillery on their weak positions. The Donetsk only needs 4 more miles to be made whole; is also to mention that Ukraine lost many elite troops during the defense and during the retreat they lost many on the open ground; also somehow officers whom were apparently killed in 2022 have reappeared from the Russian side, which leads to bogus claims from Ukraine. All in all this gave a huge morale boost for the Donetsk volunteers, crippled any offensive capabilities of Ukraine in the area, lost, lost many of its elite troops and an astronomical number of them have surrendered. The war keeps going but Ukraine is already the dying man of Europe.

No, to understand any of this one simply needs to grasp the reality that NATO MAP programs require the settlement to all ongoing territorial disputes in the second stage. This must be completed before program advancement. The UK and the Ukraine and the US started this war in hopes of reclaiming the areas to the east militarily. This was a wildly shortsighted choice and it's my opinion that it was taken by design.

Overthrowing the elected Ukrainian president and installing Poroshenko was the CIA biggest miscalculation. Putin took that move to mean that the US was planning to destabilize Russia next. He then formed the necessary alliances, ( BRICS came onstream around that time) and reoriented the Russian economy away from the West with the help of China. In a simple comparison of numbers Ukraine could never win. In attrition warfare you need man power, and they have always been horribly out numbered (population of country, not mobilized troops). the only way they could stand a chance is a foreign military directly intervening with a massive influx of troops, which would spark a world war. Once both sides started digging in it was very apparent that this would not end well for Ukraine.
