Verstappen doesn't hate the sprint races. He finds them unnecessary and especially hectic for the staff, the engineers, due to the busy schedule. He isn't complaining and doesn't want to abolish the sprint races either. Therefore, the remark made in this podcast is very unnuanced.

Agreed....journalists etc. ask his opinion and he gave it....God forbid he has a different opinion from guys that don't drive the cars or raced cars all their life *face palm*

Completely agree. "Just drive the car... well that what he did right? He wouldn't even be mentioning anything else, but people keep asking the drivers what they think and they bring valid points when they answer. Of course there is little journalism to be expected from rn365 they are all about the clicks.

The sprint is usually like watching a third of a movie - all the spoilers with a fraction of the fun.

“Sorry, max…get over it”…you act as if max wasn’t asked his opinion about the sprints

Journalists keep asking the same question and they keep getting the same answer so they whine about the answer rather than finding new questions to ask.

"sprint is here to stay" Doesn't make it less garbage. And only hoarders keep their garbage for years despite everybody telling them to throw it out.

...Can someone explain how the Haas (Hulk) didn't get penalised for overtaking Stroll/Ricciardo before the start/finish line on the restart....as Ricciardo obviously got done for taking the place back under the following safety car....for clarity...

Penalty wasn't even close to harsh enough - hitting another car under safety car conditions and taking them out of the race (and in turn damaging another), should have been at minimum 20 seconds which would be close to justified. The fact he tried to blame everyone else but himself, even more so under safety car conditions, is beyond stupidity for a driver in F1....bruised ego perhaps for lack of awareness....

Would Ricciardo have been top 7? No. Not at all. He would have been lucky to get a P10. He still had a mandatory pit stop to complete, and the pack was bunched up due to the Bottas Safety Car. Yuki had more chance of getting points at that point than Daniel. He may have pulled a Fernando-esque soft tyre overtaking fest, but I doubt Daniel+Vcarb could match Alonso+Aston.

@05:22 Really...?👴🤮 @13:43 This is NOT true.👴🤥 FIA has made a mess of it, It's mostly interpretation, no matter what's in black on white! And often happily so, still very, very open to subjectivity, hence wrong.👴🧐😳 Blatant example: How rigid, differentiation-less stupid is this rule: Art. 39.6 ... "Any driver whose car stops on the track during the qualifying session or the sprint shootout will not be permitted to take any further part in that session." It's great that AM is raising this, albeit in a protest against CS. The FIA rules are dodgy all the way. Even amateurs don't make these kinds of mistakes. Exaggeration makes the matter clear: Picture this: In Monaco, in Q3 (or in Q1...), the first person, leading the entire field, sets a time, and immediately after setting it, crashes and blocks the track. What happens then is that everyone on the track obviously stops, and therefore is out, without a time... My niece's daughter, 6 years old, would have done better. Good job FIA...!👴🤷‍♂ - And still, you happily devour it and willingly spread the word...👴👎👎👎🤮
