I broke my right foot when I was about 11 years old so was told I couldn't kick a ball in the playground for 8 weeks... so I started using my left foot and ended up being about as good with either which helped me get starts on the left hand side of midfield when there wasn't a natural left footer in my teams... definitely worth encouraging... it's not just for standing on!

Croucy is extraordinary diplomatic when it comes to telling stories but manages to be wonderfully entertaining. A total Dude.

Best episode ever, so authentic, lucid accuracy on where we are culturally with the generations playing professional football now, and great insight into how cool Crouchy is as a human being and a great footballer with top values. The stat about left footeds reminds me of something I read about baseball. I think having an unusual hand or foot dominance makes you more likely to go pro or succeed.

I once organised the Sunderland Xmas party. I was told it had to be in the Hilton next to the stadium. What a terrible party. You could tell they weren't a team, massively divided.
