I admire Jeremy Lin more than any other athlete. He has proven himself time and time again, yet he doesn't get the respect he deserves. It really bothers me how poorly he's been treated all the way since graduating from high school. He never gives up, though, and never loses his faith. He's a remarkable human being.

Man!!! I haven't been keeping up with current events for sports basketball but, I am totally SHOCKED, that Jeremy Lin, has been given the series Raw Deal, by the NBA!!! I AM BLACK American and it is obvious that he is dealing with reverse racism and the fact that none, of the black ball players has not came to his Aid or try to work with him physically too get healthier for a better team!!! This really Angers me because this brother definitely has the skillz and talent, too be a HALL OF FAMER, one day!!! More than likely the NBA, will use the excuse of his injuries against him to not sign him back up!!! I always wondered what had happened to him, because I work a lot of hours on my job!!! Hell the Chicago Bulls, should add him to the roster!!! May God Bless you my brother!!! This is straight B/S!!!

It's really a shame that he is not valued as much as he should have and that he experienced racial bias. Sports in America nowadays are way too political and double- standard. That's why we no longer follow NBA games. We wish Jeremy all the best for happiness and success for his future endeavors. 🙏

Then Melo came back and wanted to be the star and the Knicks started loosing. I believe with the right team that J Lin could still be a great assest to any NBA team. Jeremy Lin was a great player and could’ve had a great long career. His averages were great and all these teams overlooked him. If you’re trying to figure out why your team sucks coach remember the guy you passed up🤦🏾‍♂️

I hope Jeremy has been able to stash a ton of cash. Side note: During the height of Linsanity, I was teaching English to high school students in China. Whenever one of my morning classes would line up timewise with a Knicks game in the U.S., I'd project a real-time Yahoo Sports game play-by-play onto a big screen in the front of the room so the kids could keep up. Those classes were very popular!

IMO the most inspirational player in the NBA at a global scale. He showed everyone that realizing the NBA dream is achievable.

Great player who I always rooted for no matter where he was. Unfortunately the social struggles he had to deal with seemed to never go away and injuries played a role as well. Too bad it didn’t work out differently for him

The video mentioned it, and so has everyone in here...but was a single example ever presented of his asianness keeping him from NBA employment? No, and to be honest, I doubt there is any evidence beyond this conjecture. More than anything, he became a victim of his own success. You put up Jordan-like numbers for 3 weeks in New York and people are gonna come to expect that. Unfair, as nobody should ever expect Jordan from anybody but Jordan. Nonetheless, it wasn’t crazy that those signing the checks were suspicious of potential longevity. I believe Houston paid him fairly well, probably losing on the investment... Because at the end of the day, it’s about health. And it ain’t because NBA don’t like chinamen. Each time he seemed about to cross the threshold into permanent presence, he’d get hurt. It’s how his amazing early run ended, after all. It’s not like it’s his fault or that I’m dogging him for it. But the ability that earns the most $$$ in sports is durability. Look at LeDbag. He walks at a seniors’ pace for a third of the game, but it ain’t ‘cause he’s slow...give him the ball and he’s right back to high-speed freight train. He’s not lazy the rest of the time, he’s preserving himself for longevity. Lin played very fast, and very hard. Guys that play hard all the time get hurt. Happens to sooooo many athletes, from all sports. We just never hear about them, because they don’t have “Linsanity”-type results under their belts yet...Oh, Linsanity, which was indeed one of the most fun times ever I spent, a poor, decrepit, wretchedly pathetic Knicks fan. I’ll always be grateful I got to see most of it (missed the first two games but caught the rest once I heard about it!).

Still undeniably the single best story to come out of the NBA. I loved that spell in 2012, it was amazing. Not saying the NBA is racist, or individuals in it are, but it is equally undeniable that racist preconceptions kept him out of better opportunities. I wish he'd stuck with the Charlotte Hornets though, I think that was his best time, even counting the Nets where he was being set up to be the main star.

NBA IS racist!!! When IT companies or med schools do not have enough black guys, they were labeled racism. They requested AA. Why wouldn’t it be true for NBA. This whole race issue in USA just makes me sick 🤒 🤕

Always remember Doug Williams, probably the most underrated and underpaid for that matter quarterback in NFL history who got his 2nd shot as an NFL starter at 32 and with almost 10yrs as a professional quarterback. He carried the Redskins to Super Bowl and won it convincingly. With an opportunity and good health, Mr Lin can do the same in basketball.

I believe he was always short change and overlooked by the NBA. It was sad to see how he was treated. He should be given a chance to come back and treated fairly. The Knicks should pick him up as a six man and end his career with them.

Yeah, the reason was clear; and getting injured - like any other athlete - didn't help matters either, even giving the NBA more reasons not to retain him. I admire his determination and hard work to see his dreams of playing professional basketball come true. I always wondered what happen to Lin. Last I heard he was playing in the G League. Not the case?
