yeah, by most fan accounts, he is a total cocksucker. I think it stems from his insecurity as a musician. kiss is a very basic band and most of their fans are kids who eventually grow out of them as their pallet develops. This guy is barely a bassist with no progression in fifty years.

This is the most “loves the smell of his own farts” type of guy I’ve ever seen or heard

Train yourself to watch KZread videos at 2x speed and it'll only take half the time. I spend most of my time watching at 2x. The flip side is that it fks with music videos/documentaries.

Kiss has got to be the most overrated rock band of all time. But I give them credit, they sold their image more than their actual music, which is why we have all the shit music we have today thats so focused on image over substance. Hardly any of their music is being played still unlike other bands from their era, outside of "I wanna rock and roll all night" They're like the brand Supreme, you can get everything from Kiss toilet paper to pinball machines, to caskets. Gene really thinks hes on the level of people like Mick Jagger or Ozzy and hes just not, he was in a gimmicky band that no one under the age of 40 even likes anymore.

Did they influence a lot of musicians? Yes. Did they have the talent? Yes. Are they overrated? For sure. Their popularity did not warrant having their faces and logo on nearly everything imaginable
