What REALLY happened to Excell Auto Group & CNC Motors?? (NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT THIS)
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
What separates a common dealer practice from outright FRAUD, and how can you protect yourself from this auto industry plague?
In this extensive video, I break down exactly why and how this happens, and explain why Excell, CNC, and Evan Paul aren't anomalies.

More respect for PJ now, I understand these tricks already but he made this 40 min video to warn everyone, such awesome content bravooo
Holy shit. That tracking number trick is insane. I would’ve never thought dealerships would play like this. Wow. Great video.
Thank you PJ. Great Lesson. Consignment to a dealer is a mine field. I dodged this bullet. A long known exotic car dealer for more than 10 years in Tarpon Springs Florida went down doing this. He had exotics and over a 100 cars. I consigned my Aston Martin to him. I had to make several trips to catch him in the office and get him to pay Woodside Credit well after the 30 days when the next payment was due. I was successful before it hurt my credit. A few weeks later the 100 cars were gone, doors closed and as far as I know, he is still in jail. Float!
Great explanation of FLOAT, I didn’t know it can get that bad. Something similar happened in OC with a company named JYP Exotic Rentals. The owner forge title paper work of consignment cars and sold ‘em. Including Lambos and a Cullinan. Thanks PJ!
Halfway through I just had to pause it and come down here to thank you. The way you teach about this truly helps people understand. You don’t just say what’s happening, I’ve always had trouble learning when I was in school, but the way you teach about this and explain it really helps me understand it and you clearly made this video because you wanted to raise awareness to the people getting fucked over by this scam. You really just do a great job at explaining this
Not gonna lie, I judged this guy as a slick car salesman months before, but turns out he only dresses like one (with those bling watches lmao) and is actually pretty chill Liked and subscribed, hoping to learn more from future vids!

Fantastic breakdown PJ, unfortunately not all dealers can be trusted. But protecting yourself by doing your research ahead of time will let you see who’s a legit dealer and who’s not.

Outstanding video!! There was a dealer in my local area that sold European cars that got shut down almost 10 years ago for doing this same thing.

This is Great Content!! And this is why I dont trust those luxury dealerships who are shady asf! If Im buying cash better make sure you have the title on hand and you take my 300k better give me the actual Title and my car💯 I saw this dude that paid almost 400k cash to Excel for a Lambo and when he got there to pick it up the Dealership is locked up and the car is not there anymore.. there goes your money gone Smfh🤭🤔🤦🏻♂️
Honestly I love that someone made this type of video. The couple things I’d add to this video is it’s very state specific. For example in MA where I own a dealership temporary plates are not even available so to get plates I need to bring the title to the dmv to get physical plates…secondly I’ve used banks such as M&T, AFC, NextGear, Bank of America etc for floor plans and none of them send a wire for a payoff. All of them send a check for a payoff and I also send a check for a payoff no matter what. I’ve paid off thousands of cars in my life and never used a wire. But yes floating is probably the #1 reason why dealers fold and it is usually do to greed…because of these things depending on the floor plan you use they do an inventory check every 14-30 days to make sure the car is on the property and if it’s not they want a copy of the bill of sale and the bank statement showing when the dealer was funded for the unit. If a dealer gets $150k for a car on the 10th of March and it’s not paid off until the 5th of April in states that have these temp plates that is a huge red flag. Overall great video and a good look into the operation side of a dealer that the average customer would never know

Since MA doesn’t issue temp tags, how long does delivery take? Do you have to send someone to the DMV when completing every deal, or do you make one trip to the DMV a day and complete delivery at a later date?
@zache3818
2 жыл бұрын
@@kevinfabs if you trade a car in you can transfer the plates you have from your trade and put those plates on the new car and drive away the same day and those are good for 7 days which is enough time to get a registration. Dealers that sell more than 30 cars per month have what’s called EVR (electronic vehicle registration) so those dealers can register most cars on site and someone can drive away the same day or next day if it’s late or on a Sunday the EVR program doesn’t work. If you buy from a smaller or new dealer (I opened a new dealership so it will take another 2-3 months before I have EVR) so I take the paperwork I’m getting ready now from sales Friday afternoon and today and will drop off Monday morning. Right now the dmv is taking 3-4 days so if it’s new plates people that bought a car today won’t be able to drive away until probably Thursday or Friday. One person today traded a car and transferred plates so they are driving the new car now and I will have their new registration end of the week and they already have the plates so I will just give them the registration
Bernie Madoff would be so proud … this isn’t floating anymore it’s elevating 😂 PS great job explaining and clarifying. ECH 💯🙌🏻

It's really simple, the risk running a business like that is too high, some people take that risk, I wouldn't, that's the difference between people running businesses forever, and people's businesses crashing no matter how big they were. I'm always for a steady and solid growth against husler business practices.

Unaware of that specific issue / owner. In a situation like that, though, he or his bank would still have the title so it would be very hard for whoever bought it to actually keep the car.

One question, when you finance the car for 84 months and you drive it for 12 months, how do you sell the car if the car is technically still owned by the bank? I and pretty sure for most people, we don't have money to pay for it in cash and then sell it. How does this work, also, is it worth to get a 144 month loan? For cars like Aventador SV if you're planning on keeping that car forever?
@ExoticCarHacks
2 жыл бұрын
Simple math. 84 mo loan, $1k/mo payment. After 12 months you paid 12k and own 72 (i know, interest, just making the numbers simple). Because you hacked it the car is still worth 84. When you sell the car, the 72 you owe goes to the bank and 12 comes back to you. No, I wouldn't go to 144.

@@ExoticCarHacks Interesting, didn't know you could still sell the car while it's still owned by the bank. Theoretically, you can keep on changing cars if you cars that don't lose any value! Very very interesting!

I think it comes down to one word Greed . We live in America the greatest country in the world , but also the greediest country in the world . Living a life above what there able to makes this happen .
The empty envelope/tracking# trick has been done by others? I thought it was a CNC/Clay Thom thing. At the end of the day the customer can only take so many precautions when the dealership is run by a criminal. Don't forget Clay also forged signatures on titles, DMV forms and wrote hundreds of fraudulent checks. Great video though.

Yeah, he wasn’t the only one doing the envelope trick.
Bank examiners check Vins for exsistance. Where r the floorplan cars. Floorpan cars have liens from bank on them. They have been known to disappear off the lot! Floorplan audits tell the tale!
But wait, there's more
It all comes down to greed and ego. The owner of the car wants more and the dealer needs to keep lights on and also wants more. Humanity is a failure. The state's are pigs with tags and fees. Let's talk insurance. Can go on and on...

Which is why Tesla is being fought tooth and nail by the existing auto finance industry. There is no chance for the unsavory players to float anything.
PJ, qualify all this by iterating that this incredibly rare fraud on the scale that CNC and Excell did. Not every dealer is floating titles. We can provide a title copy, even on a floored car at any time for a customer. If you floor a trade, it's "paid off" by the floorplan company right away. Still takes time to process but shouldn't be more than 10-14 days. So the dealer isn't even the one paying them off.

absolutely correct, I watched it unfold as I bought at least 10 plus cars at excell since 2015. Was unfortunate but their situation got much worst and we cut ties 2 years ago, pretty publicly as they were blacklisted from doing business in my communities then to protect everyone. Also, as a real person with real money, not a lost cause who pretends to be rich making payments on a 20 year old car like you, I actually can spot things way ahead of markets. So get your facts straight and go back to playing in the sandbox with your pretend rich friends who all live paycheck to paycheck.

Another one is 1970 914-6 all the rest like yours are 2020 or newer -just a matter of perspective my "sandbox" is my back yard on palm beach island i think most of us call it the Atlantic Ocean. Wishing you the best with the various business ventures and the videos are always pretty solid info. All of us in the exotic car in the area world knew Excell was a scam and doing really sketchy stuff going back years and yet you promoted them at various SCS and other events-why? this is not "new" news to anyone in the area and the collapse was a surprise to exactly nobody. We only wondered what took so long. Sadly in the end a lot of legit car owners got burned and unlikey they will get their money or car back. When its all settled Zankl's will have lost everything including their $3M house and most likely both of them will end up in prison.
