Rust Valley Restorers was originally aired on the History Channel but has now been picked up by Netflix. The TV show takes its name from its unique location in Tappen, British Columbia, which is colloquially known as Rust Valley. While the show was made possible thanks to the dreadlock-sporting Mike Hall, it would be incomplete without Mike's go-to mechanic and best friend, Avery Shoaf.
Avery Shoaf is the lead mechanic and second in command at Rust Valley Restorers. Like Hall, Shoaf shares a passion for cars, and as the voice of reason on the show, he's the first person Mike Hall consults before work begins on any new project. As Rust Valley Restorers gears up for its fifth season, the big question is whether Avery Shoaf will be present because the show will never be the same without him. Avery, supposed master mechanic, forgets to put oil in the engine and takes the car to the demolition derby. Engine blowed up real good.

Yeah but they had him working until what? 3 AM? And the dipstick was laying flat in the bottom of the oil pan so the last of the moisture was collected, It was a mistake but he was tired. cut him some slack.

@@user-nw3kv2qf9o LOL... first, how did the dipstick end up in the oil pan? You would literally have to take the oil pan off and place it in there, then put the pan back on. Second, normal people would check the oil before they start an engine they just put in a car. Avery is the type of mechanic that would work at Canadian Tire. Which is why I don't get any work done at Canadian Tire.

@@46babaganoosh Your right, Avery isn't a master mechanic, but your not cutting him any slack at all, Literally was 2-3 AM and he wasn't seeing straight, aswell as the fact that he admitted it was his fault.

@@user-nw3kv2qf9o What, like no one has ever been up till 2 or 3 AM working on their vehicle. Avery isn't the first person to do that and he won't be the last. Try working 16 hour days for 3 weeks including weekends... living off 4 hours sleep every night. No reason to cut him any slack.
