Actually, I didn't know that APBR never had a chance to first pick Nolan in the semi-final because it seems like the format is that whoever wins, could just keep first picking. (I thought it was back and forth) Still, ONIC not picking or banning Mathilda in that first game was pretty interesting

Kiboy only used support when it was OP right after the release of Flask of the Oasis. After the item was nerfed, he went back to his usual heroes which are setter tanks + kadita. What's weird is not knowing who kiboy is. The only notable roam outside of PH roams.

Also the loser of the last game chooses their side. But Based on statistics, onic has higher winning percentage when picking 2nd, thus bren always chose second pick in the semi-finals to lower onic's chances. Which is also a bait. Why would you pick second for 3 straight games when you know that it was not effective? Basically this was a really long bait set by bren. It's all in the details guys. All PH teams try to avoid "pindutan" (pure micro skills) but when push comes to shove, they got those micro skills to show.

This is why having a good coach is important. The game starts at the draft not the game. No matter how good your players are, if you don't give them the advantage at picking your heroes, players will have a hard time. I don't really know why people are bashing Kairi. He's a good player. The coach just didn't give him a good hero advantage.

you mentioned that you never watch pro games, and this is exactly why you dont understand why Yeb banned Nolan against Kyle. Kyle is the same player Kairi is with even greater hero pool since he is goldike with Tank junglers as well, But man he plays crazy assassins with highlights to prove it as well. Nolan is like a death sentence since he is the best jungler there is in this patch, if he doesnt ban it, you are opening it up for one of the best jungler assasin user in Kyletzy, its the same thing with Fanny , when you know there is an assassin god on the other team, you dont wait and check if he played Fanny the last game, YOU JUST BAN IT. These players are not one Trick Ponies, they have soooo many heroes to choose from that they play so good in. I love you Beto, I've watched you ever since, and I like this transition from just playing rank you could also do great in Analysis of matches, hoping you do more of this type of content.

Some things I noticed during the Grand Finals: - Butss always underperforms as the EXP Laner against Flap (as pointed out by Vee) because he played more passively unlike Flap who was more aggressive, leading to their EXP/Gold gap (Flap is always leading in this category compared to Butss) - Sanz is super strong when it comes to poke/burst mages like Novaria and Gord, but underperforms when given utility mages like Faramis - BREN always wins when they have a lineup that consists of three frontliners and two backliners, and AFAIK they've won using Brody in 3/4 matches

The reason why Onic banned the Nolan is because Kyletzy is good at using Nolan in previous matches plus in the semi finals Kyletzy didn't had the chance to pick him is because Bren was always on the red side letting Kairi pick up the Nolan and Onic wouldn't take the chance to let Kyle get that pick

I think the reason Onic banned Nolan was most likely because they don't want to risk Kyletzy picking it. Kyle and Kairi have pretty much the same hero pool so they had to ban it when they're on the red side or Kyle would definitely take that as their first pick. It's a pick your poison kinda thing lmao. Both team's playstyles are also quite similar, the only glaring difference probably being their Mid and EXP.

@davisdapiton9676, Flap adopts an aggressive playstyle, whereas Butts tends to play more passively. This is in contrast to Sanz and Pheww, with the former displaying a higher level of aggression. That Thamuz pick was the secret weapon they are keeping until the very end. It works well with their heavy priority on the first 2 turtles as you know AP BREN is the best early game team in PH (maybe in the world) and it's because of their Hybrid (passive-offensive) Exp laner.

Addition also yeb intended not to ban Matilda because its early game so if they win that case on the end game he will ban mathilda at any cause, if you don't believe try watching previous fight here in Philippines

What ap bren made different that when they got early advantage they didn't loosen up the pressure until end , and kartzy has the best timing in jungle invasion, on per even more than kairi.

lots of truth and facts to Beto's analysis. like ONIC should have at least banned fredrinn instead of Nolan. like APBR always do pick Fred whenever they can. i was baffled how they cant see fred dominating them. the Drafting of the grand finals is just utterly chaos.

Butsss had committed a lot of mistakes and bad plays in this grand finals. he was too underperforming, no impact at all. the only game he was impactful was when he played phoveus and was a hard counter against apbren's lineup. Butsss should better his game next time. i was always facepalming seeing him do these errors

One thing that ap bren master is on how to end the series. I remember in s11, i think? They are the top seed in playoffs but got eliminated early. Because they really are dominating in early game but they didnt know how to end it to the point where gold doesnt matter anymore and they always lose to a comeback.

Onic has a tendency to be trigger happy after any of them dies, especially the core. They do not know how to retreat, where to retreat and when to retreat. Kiboy's positioning have been read. Butts uses only comfort heroes and not really counter heroes like Flaptzy, so Kairi cannot farm well because he has to do some of Butts responsibilities. Kairi tried, sanz did well, and cw was okay. But PH is just different, if one of them dies, they just go on to the next objective if they see that they are not in a good position.

I think in game 5 bren should pick diggie over Grock it can counter minautor and wanwan ult, in game 6 bren didn't ban phoveus they prio ban dyroth. They can win that whole match easily but coach of bren take it to game 7 that he knows they're gonna win game 7.

My nephew told me AP Bren purposely let Kairi pick Nolan in order to be Blacklist International, to surprise ONIC with their future plan. If that's true, then AP Bren did something really risky in order to win the whole tournament.

Duckey's style of drafting is similar to how his Hometown in the PH, Lucena City plays. Even in small community tournaments held by Private and even government organizers. I'm from Lucena, and everyone drafts similar to him. The small for fun teams here even have their own drafter. But the team dynamic in my hometown really is about fighting when opponents are farming, team fights build up from small positive situations that build up.
