Halle Berry wasn't bad in CatWoman. The script and the director sucked. She played what she had pretty well considering the material. I am glad she owns it. :)

The director even admitted the movie was terrible lol. What I like about the crew of Catwoman is that they didn’t suppress the film in anyway, in fact Halle Berry seemed proud she pursued the role of Catwoman and up until recently she welcomed Zoe Kravitz to the Catwoman team. The film was pretty entertaining but overall horrible (some bits were pretty badass ngl) but I admire their attitude towards the 9% rotten tomatoes!!!

Catwoman 2004 was the most underrated movie. I don't care what anyone says, I got what the film was doing and felt it did a great job. Halles portrayal of a feline fatal was epic. Period ❤

That is awesome of her to rate Catwoman 100%. It was one her best films, she was the best Catwoman besides Michele Pheiffer.

Probably because people were expecting the film to be very faithful to the comics and Halle Berry playing Selina Kyle, not another character with a questionable name. This film is “Catwoman in name only”. The story is about Catwoman stopping Sharon Stone and her evil face cream from taking over the world (this cream must be applied or else your face is ruined). Although Halle Berry is the only good actress in there (she did her best with the material she’s been given) everything else are drenched in over-the-top cheesiness (CGI, Acting, Story, Editing, Direction, etc.) The film ended up getting 4 out of 7 awards at the Razzies in 2005 (Worst Picture, Director, Screenplay and Actress). You should definitely Halle’s speech in that show, it’s a masterpiece of classness, having a sense of humor and having a laugh. I would definitely watch Halle Berry directing a Catwoman Movie

Every aspect of the film was demonstrably terrible. Even on a technical level it was badly made, but it's such silly, camp, nonsense, I can't help but love it.

I’ve watched cat woman a lot. It was good, I think the biggest issue is that it was so far from the original concept that people didn’t like it

Halle Berry played a different character that plays Catwoman and not Selena Kyle. I never watched the whole movie cuz it was unwatchable. Selena Kyle from the comics is catwoman but instead they changed her.

Are you talking about now or during the time the movie came out? because there are SO many more superhero movies coming out now or superhero movies that have already come out since then that are 100x better than that dumpster fire of a movie, hell I can think of a few superhero movies from the time Catwoman came out that were at least tolerable or even decent like Blade or Spider-Man 2.

Good or bad, she had not done anything in the movie to make it bad. Her acting/visuals in the movie were just fine. In all honesty, she did not deserve that award but i am glad that she got it as her acceptance speach was one for the history books.

Melaine Bullock the reason people are pissed is not only because of the name it was about script writing and directing choices. Halle even claimed it to be a peice of shit movie. Yeah it was a stand alone film. But from a reviewers persepective they expect the script and good angle shots to be good. Alot of people point out whats wrong with the film just like wolverine origins was bad too. and this is coming from a marvel fan.i hated how they did the movie and added cgi to his claws and what they did to deadpool in the movie. but back to catwoman the issue of the idea is that the cgi looked so bad along with the angle shots and once again directing choices. In one scene They had an issue with the angle shot done with Benjamin where his face was way too close to the camera. The scrip however was too chessey and each pun or punchline catwoman made viewers either pissed off or cringe too. They even mention how some of the logic in the movie works leaving eyebrows raising and saying "uh what the hell?". Also some people hate how catwoman actually looks like shes wearing fetish gear instead of the full black leather suit. And if you see the movie again, some parts that are meant to be serious were pretty funny, such as how catwoman comes to save the cop from getting shot from the antagonist. But instead of stopping her from calling back up they just let her and run away when it was already Two against one now even if one of them was injured.The movie was good to make fun of for others which made it both hilarious. If you watch Yourmoviesucksdotorg you even learn more of what made it more hilariously bad as a film.(also the video itself was even more hilarious) also. Did i forget to mention that the director was more intrested in Just Halle herself. in an interview of catwoman he sounded obsessed with her which was kind of weird and disturbing in a way. But to put it kindly its good you can enjoy a movie not many people could have. I didnt like the film but dont let all this stop you from enjoying it, i am only pointing out the few things that others have pointed out of why they believe its bad. but again to each their own. people are entitled to their own opinion. just like how i think xmen wolverine origins was a terrible fucking film that i never ever want to see again.
