I like to imagine that Catnap doesn't just spontaneously combust. The red smoke must be flammable and when he tries to use it against us, the arcs of electricity ignite the smoke.

Those boils you mentioned on Nightmare CatNap aren't actually boils. When you see the actual model in full detail, you'll see faces appear and disappear along the body.

FusionZgamer noticed this in his first hacking video after beating the chapter and spotted hands and maybe a face emerging on the body but in the animation, they will emerge and disappear throughout the body. The concept art for the Nightmare CatNap proves it even further with the more frequent humanoid shapes making up the nightmare CatNap's body.

What I like about this hack is that explains how CatNap follows us to the Safe Room. He takes the elevator like we do. Also, what if I told you that his Nightmare form was originally going to be even more horrifying?

Imagine we kill the Prototype without all these crazy hands and gizmos, but with the hand we started with-the blue hand

10:21 as someone who is making games via the Unreal Engine System, the same system used to make Poppy Playtime chapter 3, the hollow boxes are one of two things. a collision box tied to the actual blueprint meshes (Catnap and the overcharged green hand), or trigger volumes

Can dogday's legs be found anywhere in the game

So, I don't know if you know this, but everything that happens in a game or is in a game is pre-made by the people who made the game. They did not give characters real consciousness. When they move, these are all "animations" made by the people who made the game. "Animations" just make characters move. Imagine you work on a game, and you have to make an animation, but the player can't even see it, because it's somewhere else, and you can only see it by hacking. Unfair, right? With that being said: 1: When kissy was being attacked, poppy was "unloaded". This means, poppy got deleted from her spot, for the performance of the device, and because she's not animated, it just doesn't make sense to animate her, because you can't even see her. 2: Why would the developers (people who made the game) hide him in a box if the player can't open them? It wouldn't make sense, because, again, there's no animation, and it would affect gameplay. Everything in a game is just planned by developers. There's nothing that happens that developers didn't make, because a game can't make itself. 3: Again, why would they do that if you can't even see it? Yes, there's blood coming out, but that's because the player can SEE it. It wouldn't make sense for them to make a full 3D model of her organs that only hackers can see. 4: The developers haven't added an animation for miss delight/catnap for that. They don't move on their own, again, developers determine how the characters move. 5: Actual good question, but only because there is. Well, slightly. Developers have actually made the complete train wreckage model, even though the player can only see a quarter of it. There is nothing really hidden, but it's still cool that hackers can see the full wrecked train. 6: They probably didn't even make a 3D model for his legs because they don't have an use. I get why you asked that question, since catnap's death model is already preloaded at the top out of the player's view (only because it is used later) and some other stuff, but no, they can't be found anywhere, because they don't have any use. Also I just can't imagine seeing him with legs, it would look so weird. I spent 15 minutes writing this so I hope this helps you :D

They did that purposefully because the red smoke form is a hallucination. He’s still really catnap the whole time, the protagonist has just inhaled the red smoke though. I agree w/ you its a cooler model tho

There’s one thing you missed! It’s in the cave area and out of sight… you can see the big monster thing from the first official trailer from poppy3 and catnap does an unused animation where he makes a “gift” for the prototype

While I understand not needing to show what is actually going on when you don't need to, it still would have been interesting if they had modeled Kissy Missy getting attacked, just for others to find later. Probably for the best, but I would have at least had a mockup of what supposedly went in for reference.

A bit off topic, but I kinda wish that the CatNap boss fight was explained much better on how to play it because on paper the boss fight was interesting and fun once you actually know how to play, the problem was that it was explained pretty poorly on a screen most people wouldn’t bother to read with resulted in a bunch of frustrating deaths of trial and error.

I totally agree, I think those mechanics used in the fight (like turning CatNap away using smoke and those fake CatNaps) should've been demonstrated and taught to the player earlier in the game. Maybe the gas outlet could also have been made more visible and there could've been cables going from those gas outlets to the activation mechanisms.

And I think maybe they could've added a fake CatNap during the hallucination in Home Sweet Home and have him fade away after a flare like the one from the orange hand appears, maybe because of electrical sparks (and potentially place another fake CatNap in the counselors office to remind the player)
