Remember when our Benin Republic presenter, Harrison, asked Nigerians in Benin what they think about the Beninese?
Well the tables have turned.
This time Harrison took to the streets to find out...
What the Béninoise think about the Nigerians based in their country.
“What do you think about Nigerian’s over here in Benin Republic?” Harrison put the question to the public and here is what they had to say...
“Most of the Nigerians wey dey Benin are wicked... inside business Nigerians they dey disappoint...Policeman no dey stop anybody for checkpoint before but because of this, immigration dey for border, immigration dey for Badagry, immigration dey for Bagi, na this kind thing wey dey happen to Beninese in Nigeria...na so we sef go dey hold them,” one man explains.
“Maybe na the tongue wey dey different. You see for here we dey say ‘s’il vous plait (please)’ but Nigerians dey say ‘HEY YOU COME HERE!’” the same man adds.
“I think Nigerians are good people, especially those who know why they are here...those who pursue their primary assignment accordingly,” one man responded.
“Some of the Nigerian girls I know are very good while some are ungrateful,” one lady shakes her head as she tells Harrison about her impression of Nigerians.
“Good people dey inside but sometimes it dey wey somebody dey come where I dey carry am go for border, wey he say I for wait for him...he dey go bank, come take money, he dey go and I no dey see am again,” one bike driver speaks from experience.
“I think Nigerian people are very nice, I have a lot of friends in Nigeria,” one lady says.
“Some Nigerians, when their parents give them money to spend on their school fees and rent, they spend the money on parties instead,” one landlord tells Harrison.
“...they just dey find trouble...but if Nigerians come, everything go dey better for Benin,” one man states.
Are YOU from Benin Republic?
What do you think about the Nigerians in Benin? Do you get along with them?
Thanks for watching!

There’s massive divisions between countries along cultural, economic and political lines. Some countries are even in the process of leaving the EU (the UK).

Yoruba just conquered and assimilated the Bini people, they were never great lol. Benin Republic was "never great" but beat the Oyo Empire twice at war lol. Benin is closer to the west than east(Igbo land). The majority of the Nigerians in Benin are from the west.Yoruba people, your people. To be tribalistic is one thing. To be ignorant is another thing. To be both is fatal. "About 42 African ethnic groups live in this country; these various groups settled in Benin at different times and also migrated within the country. Ethnic groups include: the Yoruba in the southeast (migrated from what is now Nigeria in the 12th century); the Dendi in the north-central area (they came from what is now Mali in the 16th century); the Bariba and the Fula (or Fulani) (Fula: Fulɓe; French: Peul) in the northeast; the Betammaribe and the Somba in the Atacora Range; the Fon in the area around Abomey in the South Central; and the Mina, Xueda, and Aja (who came from what is now Togo in the 12th century) on the coast."

@Joy Joy I think what @CTBt was trying to say in a more polite way was look into the "real" history not the white washed history, most melanated so called "black/African American"people in the Americas (South, Central, Carribbean, USA, Canada & Alaska) were there before Christobal Colombus... Another name for them were MOORS (even though they feel under various tribal/clan names like Cherokee, Seminole...) . But that doesn't take away from the fact that we (Africans & Americans) are probably cousins if you read the story of Mansa Musa, his brother travelled over the Atlantic with a great amount of goods and people in effect giving up his throne to Musa. @CtBt, I think one way us melanated ppl around the world can be strong and United again it's by being more compassionate we speak and treat each other of similar skin colour. Love from Ghana / UK and wish you all HEALTH & WEALTH 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

kxng Anto That's why I said probably; the other side of that argument is that Lagos is way more attractive than Cotonou or Porto-Novo and there might be way more Beninese looking for opportunity in Lagos than Nigerians looking for opportunities in Benin's cities. This is economics. Let me give an analogy; they are way more Ibadan people in Lagos, than Lagos people in Ibadan... but if you're right, you're right... i don't want to get sidetracked, my original conversation was with Yudah El, and it' still ridiculous for him to think that Benin is letting Nigerians in without any desire to be let into Nigeria themselves. There is no charity going on here; point, blank, period.

Nigerians is weaker a left collarbone and manything manything. Unfortunately - Ugro Finan people past is in result from Nigeria. EVEN - IF TO COMPARE TRADITIONAL COSTUMES (Nigeria Lapi). Beninan people do not have a "touch with Ugro Finnic people". Them perfectly fits Senegal's or even - Tunisian kind people.

So Beninese are backward, eventhough you recognize that Benin Republic is a peacefull place where people are opened and nice, a place where one can lead his activities in peace. We look like in 2002 despite the fact that our country is well electrified, and also because people ride their bike there with their helmet which is not the case in your own country. To a country that give you hospitality, is this the least that you can do in being grateful? Not your fault, you people were just testifying how far you've gone in being wicked by saying these rubish, how much you are hypocrite. I am even doubting the credibility of this your survey. Are these the real people on who you investigated the question. Because they don't seem to be the Nigerian that I have been keeping in touch with. Have you seen the comments of these people that you are calling wicked? They were even covering you cause they are always thinking of peace. Not your fault, cause generally Nigerian's nature is to feel pride to the extent to turn to selfishness. Not your fault cause you people have good reasons for coming in my country ' a place where according to you, people are wicked for school and businesses'. Or Maybe I am no more getting the meaning of the word Wickedness. Please in that case enlight me.

Dude, the one guy speaking broken English and the landlord just admitted to being crude towards Nigerians. This is clearly a case of neither person wanting to be the first to let the offenses go. If a Nigerian hurts a Beninese brother or sister, that brother or sister should not take it out on the next Nigerian and vice versa. Forgiveness is what will put an end to the cycle, otherwise the wickedness just keeps getting paid forward. If you are a Beninese or Togolese, you are my brother and sister, these boundaries are artificial. It is not Nigerian that misbehaved in Benin, it was a bad brother/sister; I can't go and take it out on another family member then act surprised when they don't like my actions
