Thanks for your videos Chris. They are great and informative.
Thanks for the information and your insights Chris
Thanks Chris. Great information.
Love these vids Chris!
Thanks Chris. Very helpful.
I'd love to see an in-depth Chris Santacroce video examining the difference between Gliders optimized for free flight and Gliders optimized for PPG flight. I haven't found anything available that delves into this. Another great vid.
Chris is the man!!!
❤thx great info Cisco
Great video man.
Love chanel great info
Good talk
what you can feel... great tip... if you can do a test flight is the best way to check it out... one question... I use the 50% of range for my gliders... as I'm not a competition or a mega distance pilot it works most of the time... what rule do you use in your daily basis?
The answer is always “the smallest they make” when you weigh 125 lbs, lol.

same🤣 I'm always at the bottom of the weightrange. My next glider will probably be a miniwing so I can get a higher trimmspeed and manouverability😬

good suggestion but how will a buyer test differends sizes in the described conditions…..we need to choose by the specs 😢
I'm 30 lbs over the weight range on my wing.
I was thinking about emailing chris to ask almost this exact subject a few days ago! It's so confusing trying to figure out what size of wing to move to, or stay around the same, especially if you are willing to change brands, but don't have ready access to an instructor with different demo wings.

David Carroll hi David - obviously tuning in late but where are you located?
I got the luckiest draw in the world I got to buy an epsilon 9. It's a big one and I weigh a ton so I'm flying right on the top of the weight range. The other pilot said I need to watch out for just stick in my arms on relying on the passive safety. They said that it would come out of some of these extreme maneuvers violently with a lot of energy to bleed off and bounced around and throw fits for a little while before it started to fly again. It's rated for a power paraglider situation so that 20 kg weight range really makes me feel a lot better to hear him say that. I don't want to use the speed bar for now anyway and I don't intend to use the brakes too much more so just for landing. You can't get a lock in spiral from turning if you don't use the brakes.

Hi Mark - always feel the brakes to prevent surprise deflation. You CAN easily end up in a spiral inadvertently - be sure to watch our video on spirals.

They actually do sell wings that can lift tons of weight that are designed for tandem trike flying. Tucker Fort just did a video on this. My concern for someone your size would be fitting in the harness.

Have seen an instructor here (Switzerland) put normal risers on a 38sq meter tandem for a new student. Worked out well...
Great :)
My weight range is 90-95 in between what glider should i choose?

Chris Santacroce 6.7 thank you so much for a reply I did not expect one 👌👍
So 5kg over the range is ok then?

Leif djurfeldt I wish I could say yes - no problem but as a manufactures representative the best I can tell you is to contact official representative from the brand you are considering and ask them what is recommended.

@@ChrisSantacroce been flying my "new to mee" gradient golden 4 22m 2-4kg over weight and no problems. Only to note that it feels more sensitive to inputs.
