Aah Amasya, been there quite a long time ago. More then 10 years ago and it still looks charming and not that much changed compared to my last visit. The Ottoman food that the chef was cooking looks very different then contemporary Turkish cuisine. Very good vlog Ayse, got to give you a thumbs up that you are trying to create a diverse content in your vlogs.

depends on who you ask really, if you ask a secular liberal person they might say something different and if you ask a conservative person they will say different things, just like in any other country in the world there are conservative people and there are secular liberal people. Most people that live in the city are kinda liberal but on the countryside and eastern part of Turkey they are more conservative.

I have read quite a lot about this beautiful city in the works of Elif Şafak and in the epic novel “Hürrem Sultan” by Demet Altınyelkilioğlu and I was quite fascinated by the importance of this city to the Ottoman sultans that they used to send their sons to be trained in it till they prove eligible to ascend the throne of the empire. And in fact I have always wondered about the significance that this city holds to the ottoman rulers. The descriptive mentioning of this city in Altınyelkilioğlu’s novel “Hürrem Sultan” combined with my affection on history of the Ottomans made me want to visit this place. But NOW with your series about Amasya you have caused me Ayşenur hanım to become hooked to idea of visiting this city and immerse myself in its fascinating beauty and history until I have it now on my long list of must-see places in the world. Thank you a lot Ayşenur hanım for showing me what I have fantasized about for years, I do honestly appreciate your efforts and nice and well-done works. In fact I believe that your work is going to be regarded as registration of history and daily life in Turkey for the next generations. May Allah the almighty bless you, your family, your health and all your efforts. Thanks a million Çok teşekkürler Ayşenur hanım.
