What Nobody Tells You About Foot Position in Golf Swing

Спорт

Your Feet Are Lying to You Before You Start Golf Swing . In this video, I'm going to share a simple golf tip that can help you hit your shots straighter. Most golfers make the mistake of aiming with their toes, but this is actually a big mistake. The line drawn for the golf target will not be where you think if you use your toes. But if you use the heels, you can have more accurate golf shots.
during your swing, so it's not a reliable way to aim. Instead, you should aim with your grip.
Here's how it works:
Find a target that you want to hit.
A Big Mistake in golf swing set up is about aiming with the toes can lead to inaccurate golf shots
Place your clubface square to the target.
Grip the club so that the leading edge of the grip is pointing directly at the target.
Make your swing.
By aiming with your grip, you'll ensure that your clubface is square to the target at impact. This will help you hit your shots straighter and more consistently.
Here are some additional tips to help you hit straighter shots:
Make sure your stance is square to the target.
Keep your head down and your eyes on the ball.
Swing smooth and controlled.
With a little practice, you'll be hitting straighter shots in no time!

Used the heel method today on the course. Hit some of the best on target shots I've hit in a long time. Multiple birdie chances. Thanks. 👏👏👏

MY FRIEND this is the single most helpful golf video I've seen. Getting older, I've been splaying my feet naturally and playing military golf (left, right, left, right), constantly being told I'm aimed right or left. Took this out to the course today and....straight as a string. Thank you and subscribed!

I've been playing golf for 50 years! I was taught to flare left foot slightly down target line and turn right foot slightly inward on same line! This immediately improved my proper target alignment and eliminated over body rotation.

Absolutely brilliant advice mate especially for those struggling to get the club to pass their body on the left Years of poor understanding have led to some serious injuries I wish I had flared feet from day dot. It unlocks the hip joints, takes pressure off the lower spine and also can give you a visual aid for shoulder path and club face 🙏🏼 Besides most importantly lining you up on intended target giving you a better chance to execute the proposed task

Great video as always. I've never picked intermediate point in front of the golf ball to target, intermediate point 1m behind the golf ball so as my chest is facing ball and imaginary line front of me. I am generally correctly aligned Parallel to target.

I assume I do this for sure so great advice. Related, I have found I have this issue for ball placement. Because I flare my left foot for that turn I often preset it that way which causes me to have the ball too far forward.

ya ok, but everyone is different an we have to do what is best for us. If i line up straight to target at 90yds shot im hitting to left by 30 feet. I have to line up what seems to be 10 to 15ft to right of the pin to be smack ish on. But I will see an focus today on heel placement an see if that is whats going on.

Couple of observations with this lesson. (1) Wouldn't it be easier to flare the toes out an equal amount? (2) I like to bring right foot back slightly so heal alignment will not work for me.

None of it matters. If I aimed like train tracks incorrectly and missed a 100-yard shot by the 2 feet between my heels and my ball, I'd be super happy with it. The difference between the train tracks and aiming directly at the target when the target is 100 yards away is moving your lead foot (and the rest of your alignment with it) about a 1/4 inch if you do the geometry. Maybe the best advice is to simply stand behind the ball and pick something a few feet in front of the ball as an intermediate target when you then address the ball.

The intermediate point is crucial and I talk about it a lot in lessons and videos. But this is a lightbulb moment for many to see how they can get body alignment off

I was told aiming your shoulders changed the the shot curve that you're trying to hit. Left for a fade, Rt for a draw. 🤷‍♂️ But as the old saying goes, there's many different ways to skin a cat.

I’m not convinced this is true. Most players set the club face up to target first, then set the body in relation to it. So if the club face is square to target, this nonsense with the feet becomes irrelevant anyway.
