The Ethiopian calendar has 13 months, whereas the Gregorian calendar has 12 months. The Ethiopian year starts on September 11th (or 12th in a leap year) of the Gregorian calendar. Each of the first 12 Ethiopian months has 30 days, while the 13th month, Pagumē, has 5 days (6 in a leap year). The Ethiopian calendar is approximately 7-8 years behind the Gregorian calendar. Leap years occur every four years in both calendars, but the rules differ slightly, leading to occasional differences in leap year timing.
Much love and respect from Ethiopia! Nigeria is a sister country to us. One Africa!

I am Ethiopian! I am watching this video grabbing my coffee in the morning. hearing my Nigerian friends speak only the positive side of my country made me conclude that the Nigerian Education system is one of the best concerning History education. Almost every youth knows about Hailesilasie and other things about Ethiopia. I am a die-hard fan of the Super Eagle (Specially the team that won the 1996 edition of the Olympic football games beating both Argentina and Brazil). Thank you Nigeria!
I am an Ethiopian woman and very impressed by their knowledgeable answers. If you asked me about Nigeria, don’t know anything, except Nigerian people are very smart people.

This really warmed up my heart oh children of Africa. You are so bright, eloquent & exceed beyond. As a Ethiopian who’s had my formative years back home I remember learning abt other countries that was one of the many things that surprised me after I moved to the US. Kids had no idea when asked abt other countries, cultures or what not. I enjoyed watching this & non of them missed anything. Well i have to tell you that no matter where i go every Nigerian I meet is smart, successful & love their culture🖤 keep picking ppls brains!!!
God bless you Nigerians ,because you scribe Ethiopian very well. Remain Blessed. 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬❤❤❤❤❤❤❤.
