The Ethiopian calendar has 13 months, whereas the Gregorian calendar has 12 months. The Ethiopian year starts on September 11th (or 12th in a leap year) of the Gregorian calendar. Each of the first 12 Ethiopian months has 30 days, while the 13th month, Pagumē, has 5 days (6 in a leap year). The Ethiopian calendar is approximately 7-8 years behind the Gregorian calendar. Leap years occur every four years in both calendars, but the rules differ slightly, leading to occasional differences in leap year timing.

I know for a fact that Nigerians are one of the smartest people in the world. If this is a random pick, kudos to the Nigerian education system because it is working. As an Ehiopian i would advocate to learn and adopt good qualities from the Nigerian education system. Brothers and sisters your positive attitude toward Ethiopia is much appreciated!
