I've seen a lot of people theorize that the videos symbolize the relationship between NewJeans and their fans. I see it as a "You love us and we'll always love you too, but make sure to live your own life too" kind of situation. She can look back on her memories of the times she was a big fan of the group/music and still be happy, but she had to realize that she's in control of her own life and can't rely on a kpop group to be her sole happiness when there are people out there who also want to be there for her

to answer your questions, this mv is inspired by a movie called 'ditto'! where the girl can see humans through the vhs camera, and later on, she realized that she needs REAL friends. that's why she kinda moved on. i havent watch the movie yet and i heard this from a friend.

Ditto is an old movie where the 2 main characters live in 2 differents eras. One in the 70's and the other in the 2000's. But they can talk to each other through a radio, then they fall in love without knowing that they are not from the same eras (kinda like your name). That's why , in the mv New jeans have an uniform that seems older than the one Heesoo have. (I hope I explained that well, english isn't my first language 😭)

The 6th girl is coping with her loneliness by imagining herself to be friends with her idols. That's something that a lot of people tend to do which was make up imaginary bonds with people we idolize but don't know personally or are given the illusion that we do (through live streams, behind the scenes footage, interviews etc.). But in reality they're lonely and have nobody to talk to like the 6th girl. She keeps daydreaming about being friends with her idols that she doesn't realize the people who are there for her and that she isn't as lonely as she might think she is (the guy in the mvs). Her dropping the camera was her realizing she doesn't need that fantasy of having "friends" (who aren't actually there) and realizes the guy she captured on a lot of the footage wanted to be her friend and in the end they end up hanging out after I guess she picks up the phone (I'm assuming it was him calling her) The mv talks about the relationship between idol and fan. We might feel like they're close to us and that we're friends but in reality they're people who we don't know personally and most of us will never meet face to face. Realizing that there are people there for you in real life is more important and better for you in the long run than pretending to be in a situation you're not. There's also a theory about a car crash involving a deer and that the 6h girl has survivors guilt and is mourning her friends via remembering the times she spent with her friends (the camera), at the end the guy helps her move on and she destroys the camera (memories keeping her back from healing).

I think when she grow up she forgot them, but she play the tape and they comeback. Thats why the door opens like they became real again. And thats why they said "lets watch movie, eat snacks" like they didnt see her for a long time.

The girls themselves cried when watching these for the first time. Minji also mentioned that they know the full story. And New Jeans is taking over because this song debuted at number 1 on Melon AND gave them their first perfect all kill and it’s only a pre-release!! Insane.

A deer crossing your path is a reminder to check in with yourself to make sure you are not living in the past or in the future, and to realign yourself back to the present moment. It can be a sign that you need to connect with yourself on a deeper level. Deer crossing your path also signifies new adventures, seeing as they’re roamers and constantly on a foraging journey. It could also mean that another chapter in your life is beginning. Also, you’re getting a chance to embrace the future and let go of the past.

The story is about a person’s journey of being a fan. The girl who’s holding the camera is named Ban Heeseo, it is like a pun to NewJean’s fandom Bunnies (in which if you pronounce in korean it would sound alike). The story is about a fan who followed the journey of a group through ups and downs. Shown on how they are at the roof top being happy and also her going through the rain with them without the umbrella. But as shown in the Side B, fans also grow up and sometimes they quit fan life because of certain reasons, which is in this MV, her love life. She saw something more important for her than being a fan. And at the end of the Side B you can see her as an adult, reliving the moments when she was with the group that she once loved.

I think that the deer is a symbol of her youth, her innocence..

i think the official interpretation is that it’s about the parasocial relationship between ban hee soo (bunnies, the fan name for newjeans) and newjeans themselves. she is super absorbed in them, watching them through a screen to her own detriment. she imagines things that happened, like Minji painting her nail. when she wakes up, she realizes her own nail is painted (she was painting her own nail by herself). Minji is also the person who calls her. she distanced herself from newjeans, and then can look back fondly on the memories she had with them when she gets older. i’ve seen other theories that are like: she has survivors guilt, and actually newjeans are dead (the deer keeps showing up as a reminder of a car crash or something, she’s wearing a cast after being injured), and she is just imagining them still being there. interesting but idk. in simplest terms i think it’s about a lonely person. she wants friends, or maybe she had friends who died, but they’re not there, and she’s coping somehow. she gets close to the guy i think by the end of the MV, which might just be a reference to the movie ditto? but idk.

It was truly a stroke of inspiration to make this into two MVs, with both MVs needing to be viewed in order to gain the fuller, more deep meaning. The ending of Side A is so heartbreaking when it dawns upon the viewer the darkness that was obscured by the girl's vicarious joy she experienced through her imaginary friendship with New Jeans. For the second MV, the way I interpreted it, was that the girl finally realizes that it is unhealthy for her to live in an imaginary world in which the New Jeans girls are her imaginary friends, and she makes a painful decision to leave her imaginary world and to live in reality (she destroys the camera, walks with the boy, etc.). That is also why the deer walks away in the corridor, as she no longer lives in a fantasy world. Then, years later the adult version of the girl returns to her childhood bedroom and reminisces about her past, including the happy memories of her passion for Kpop idols (symbolized by New Jeans). The girl (now a woman) is able to again let New Jeans back into her life in a healthy manner (with the 5 New Jeans girls happily reentering her room), as she is now more grounded and better able mentally to reap the benefits and enjoyment of Kpop without the unhealthy obsession that her less mature self fell into.

the theory that I think is more correct is the one that says that the girl was very lonely and had no friends, so she started to see friends in her idols (new jeans). at a certain point she starts to focus on the boy instead of the girls, meaning she wants to meet real people who are really there for her and stop having fun only with idols who are far away. when her older self starts to watch the tapes it means that even though she lived her life and had real relationships, the memories she had with her idols were still there and were as precious as they were when she was younger.

Hi Caitlin, so im going to try and explain this to you from all the lore theorys, 1 theory: The heesoo has depresion has no friends and is hallucination new jeans as her friends. And she is filming them so the memorys are safe but, as you can see in the MV there not there and the guy is watching her because he is worryd about her filming nothing and having nobody around. 2 theory: new jeans where really there but they got in a car accident because of a dear shown in the MV and heesoo is the only one of them who survived you you can see it by the cascet around her arm. Heesoo is still imagining them as if they are really there. In MV B she is ignoring them because she is trying to move on and the guy is trying to help her. so those are all the most realistic lore theorys right now but i think the second one is the most realistc but thats my opinion... ANYWAY I hope this sort of cleared the questions you had in the reaction 😊

The video is a beautiful and sad story of kpop stans and their loneliness and how despite our idols bringing comfort and company when we most need it, we shouldn’t forget that they’re not really there and that there’s a world around us full of real relationships waiting to blossom. Heesoo starts the video lonely and an outcast who finds healing on her idols and see them as her friends, slowly she starts to realize how lonely she actually is and as she starts a real relationship with the boy in the video. Ultimately, as a grown up, she is able to look back at her memories with her favorite group with fondness and nostalgia.

Btw the korean pronunciation of bunnies (nwjns fandom) sounds like Heeso. Its a very unusual message for a kpop group, specially such a new one but a very healthy one to have with their fans as they start to form the parasocial relationships that define the idolxfan connection. BTS had a similar message with Pied Piper, where they urge army to don’t forget their real life outside of the fandom.

Ok so first of all, the girl filming is not a member of new jeans, second of all I think that the reason the girl was filming was an indication of her revisiting her memories with the new jeans members as people speculated that the new jeans members died in a car accident and the girl was the only survivor ( hence the cast ), its also a metaphor for us as fans, because we see these idols as imaginary friends that comfort you, play with you, and dance with you. But to other people ( towards the end of side a, when the girl was filming in the class and the real people in the class were gossiping and like saying wtf is wrong with her) they see idols as nothing, only pretty people on stage, but we see them as friend that we connect with as we listen to their song, interviews, VLIVEs etc… That’s me theory 😅😅

i personally like the death theory, idk, i like the angst lol. but i can see the metaphor abt parasocial relationships too. at the end of the day it is abt her needing to move on from something that consumed her life, albeit real friends or a kpop group, while being able to look back on that time in her life fondly. any interpretation of that i like.

Heesoo (Bae hee Soo), who is the 6th girl in the MV, alludes to the New Jeans fandom, making a pun with her name "Bae Hee So" to refer to the Bunnies fandom (or so I read around 🤔), thus, the video tells us the relationship of the fandom with new jeans showing that they will be with the fandom accompanying us at all times and vice versa (which is what is seen in the MV side A while Heeso records and accompanies Nwjns), but that somehow or another, as we grow up, we start to mature and take other priorities in our lives (like the girl at the end of side B already starts to have a romantic interest), where we will have to move on to the next stage, leaving behind nice memories of those who accompanied us during those paths (which represents him when he decides to break the camera), as it was and will be new jeans for the fandom, that's why in the MV side B, Heeso begins to move forward in his life, leaving behind his dependence on his idols and maturing, keeping her memories in a box, and that's when we see her as an adult dressed in white coming back to relive her memories of her youth with new jeans (as seen at the end of the MV B, new jeans never grew up in her memories and only came back to relive her memories). On the other hand, the fandom also gives another interpretation, where the girl of the MV was the only survivor of an accident, and not getting over the death of her friends, she sees them in her head creating scenarios with them, but there comes a point where she must leave that state and move forward in her life. It should be added that the deer has a spiritual meaning of strength, longevity, also, it is given a meaning to whoever appears to it (both in dreams and in real life) of a starting point to stay in the past, or keep moving forward into the future 👀, and in Korea it also has a meaning of friendship. + There is also another fact, from a Korean movie called Ditto (which means "the same feeling") from the year 2000 and now has a remake from 2022, which is about 2 students from different eras who communicate with each other through a radio that managed to connect each era by an eclipse. They may have occupied that concept to create the atmosphere of nostalgia because if you look closely, the current students have a different uniform than the girls of NWJNS, which can be interpreted as they are from different eras esrudiantiles 👀. From my point of view, they played so well with the feeling of nostalgia in the MVs that I even got a lump in my throat while watching them hahahahah 🥺.

Watching these MVs got me really teary eyed. The story is sad but at the end it seems as though she moved on since she has the boy now. The most common theory is that New Jeans were her old friends that unfortunately died in a car accident involving a deer and Heeseo is the one last one to survive.

I was curious after watching the MVs on who played Heesoo and when I looked up the name in the credits, it was Park Jihu, who also played Onjo in All of Us Are Dead on Netflix! When I rewatch it now I can tell it's her but I would have never guessed if I didn't look it up

This is kinda fan song I think.. A mysterious girl is not delusional. She is a fan who admires her idol when she was in high school so she always wanted to be with them but they were only connected through media. So the girl always films her friends who are actually her idols. The whole message here is relationship between fans and their idols. I was sad when I was watching this cuz It is nostalgic and realistic to me.. I was in Korea girls high school back in mid 2000s.. the whole scenes reminds me those days..😢

for me the meaning to this m/v is that new jeans is telling us to live your life and not to take thing in life granted

That no matter how bad the real world is, your group...idols always make it better when you choose to listen to them or watch their content? You develop a sort of parasocial relationship to them. You may be ignored, depressed, and outcast, etc... but one thing is for sure and that the love you have for your ults overpowers the loneliness you may feel. Thats what this is bout. Heesoo is the girl filming. As you can see, Shes an outcast, ignored, and no one talks to her at school. Until she discovers New Jeans. She becomes so attached to them and because of them, she is able to overcome her loneliness and depression. They are her source of happiness. She imagines them as her real friends at school, she completely becomes engulfed in this fantasy land with them. She films them so she can "save" the memories about how they make her feel despite it not being real. The camcorder aesthetic is a metaphor for how fans always film their idols or save their videos for keepsakes. But what happens when you are tied in too deeply in a fantasy land? You tend to miss the things that happen in real life. Just like how she missed the schoolboy who likes her and is always staring at her despite everyone else ignoring her. Shes completely oblivious to it because of her parasocial relationship with NJ. In a way it's similar to us as fans. We are so in tune with our groups and idols that sometimes life flashes before our eyes and we can miss things. Thats why its important to not make kpop our sole life but a piece of it. Similar to the same message Pied Piper has. Eventually as the years go by in side B, Heesoo grows out of her one-sided relationship, and at the end of the mv she's an adult and takes out her "memories" (VHS video) of when she recorded NJ and reminisces over the nostalgia and happiness they gave her. They saved her life. You can see she luckily notices the boy in time and ends up going out with him...and life goes on. Ditto is a metaphor between the relationship fans have with their idols, especially the fans who view their groups as a source of comfort and healing, and then we eventually will move on from it but will always be thankful for them. Super realistic and bittersweet.

I think one the main things they're trying to show is that even if you stop listening we'll always be here for you

Hi Caitlin! I watched one of your New Jeans videos recently, but I forgot which one it was. In that video you asked if there were channels that explained the mvs and the stories behind them. One person I really enjoy watching is Jordan Orme if you want to check him out! He made videos on DItto and OMG and a bunch of other mvs from other kpop idols!

This storyline remind me wo much to SNSD comeback. I listen kpop for the fist time in 2013. Since then SNSD always is in my heart..everytime that they do something i feel all the emotions..like the beginning..specially on this year..in their anniversary. Everytime are in my heart..love new jean..so special group

Besides the MVs, I got goosebumps as the knetizen found out that if you search “ban hee soo” in KZread, there is channel named after it, and there are a few videos of the girls, and the title of the videos start with “1998…”. relating ditto to the movie is like they are in different times and they communicate through that camera and as time goes by, heesoo realizes that they don't exist and she was alone all the time so she broke that camera but still have its footage but as she broke the camera, it was all in the past being played in the tv as the side A starts with it and it ends in side B so the purpose of this is nostalgia and looking back to your youth

uhmm, thinking about their first album, I saw some articles where they say Cookie was the title track but the members said in their official Instagram introducing the song that it was their 3nd title, which means it was not the main title, only the 3nd one, so in my pov its ok for it to not be at the same level of the first 2 title tracks. Also, cookie didn't get a super fancy MV, it looks more like a glorified dace practice. Anyway 😊I did love all the songs in their EP, even thought the cookie controversy, the melody is really my cup of tea.

There are multiple theories about this actually though none are confirmed, I have one theory that I liked and makes much more sense. It’s about a relationship towards an idol and a fan, it’s somehow like we only see our idols on screen that is why she always uses her camera. The 6th girl is lonely and doesn’t really have any friends at all, she imagined being friends with her idols despite not knowing them personally, Some people tend to imagine that they’re friends with their idols and if the 6th girl is one of them, She was lonely and her source of happiness was her idols, you see how other people looked at her weirdly? It’s like us kpop stans, Other people won’t understand how much they bring us joy. She isn’t really lonely as she thought she was, as the boy in the MV was eyeing her probably wanting to befriend her. Once the girl realizes that being a fan has limits and she realizes that, Our idols may seem close to us but they don’t know us, they don’t know if we exist. The 6th girl then destroyed her camera, realizing she has to move on and not just rely on her idols for her source of happiness. As she grows older, she plays those footage getting flashbacks. from what i understand the song impacts to all kpop fans here is my theory theory: The girl who was filming symbolizes kpop fan, new jeans symbolize the idols and the guy symbolizes reality. hee soo in my opinion looks like she is sad or not showing emotions that much. but when she is with new jeans she became happy like she tends to show emotions when she is with them. but by the end of side A she was now realizing that they are just an imagination. by side b we can see that hee soo is avoiding the guy(reality) so by theory she is trying to avoid reality, we can also see that she is letting new jeans go by breaking the camera( the camera symbolizes our phones, tv, pc, or any gadgets because that's where we can watch our idols through the screen) so she can move on with her life we can also see that she was with her love interest the guy, which means she is now accepting reality by letting go new jeans. in short for the fans: it's fine to escape reality sometimes by using kpop but don't get too attached where to the point that saying "kpop saved you life" is true, because it's not. we don't know our idols when the camera is off, we have our own lives to solve and they have theirs, we need to face our problems in times to avoid worse problems.

this literally made my day

I saw some of the people saying that Heesoo is in one of the friend groups with NWJNS and they all got into an accident that has something to do with the deer, while NWJNS all d!ed, she survived. That's why she has bandages all covering her arms and cried when she sees a deer. Side A was that she was too sad over her friends passing away and cannot handle the fact so she imagined that they were still there. You can see people being concerned about her mental status, especially the male student she had a crush on. Side B was when she finally decided to move on from the sadness that's why you can see the boy finally got tgt with her. Towards the end she finally got out of the trauma and was able to peacefully rewatched the past footages with NWJNS in it.

Side A= represent fangirling new jeans Side B= represent leaving away from new jeans(not a fan anymore) -The camcorder girl's name: Ban Hee Soo = Bunnies(new jeans' fandom name) -The act of filming new jeans with camcorder: fangirling/fanboying the idol. This represents that fans can only meet the idol through media (other students are not interested in new jeans so that's why they can't see them) -The boy: real life/reality -Walking in the rain with No umbrella with new jeans: Fans rooting for their idol/celebrity even when the bad things happen to the idols -Breaking the camcorder and walking away from new jeans wearing the umbrella: forget about once-favorite idol and live in reality -Word on the cast, the pink nail polish: When HeeSoo woke up, the words on her cast were gone. But the nail polish that HeeSoo painted to Minji's stays on HeeSoo's, herself. This means that fangirling stuff can't really reach to the idol in real life. The affection I sent to the idol remains as a record only for me. -The girl grew up, open the memory box and reminisce about the past. Then new jeans come into the room wearing the exact same clothes when they were hanging around with HeeSoo in the past: it can be embarrassing, shameful or immature to fangirl someone so much, but when you grew up and look at the past, it wasn't in vain, but it remained as a good memory( or When fans looked it up again, new jeans are still there) -The deer: In korea, deer is kinda recognized as a sacred, mysterious animal that people can't easily catch. So the deer represent the subtle distance or relationship between the fans and the idol. Not too far, Not too close (There's a phrase "You're like a deer/bambi" which means you are so precious, sacred, innocent, beautiful etc. So there are a lot of songs about using deer as a metaphor of a lover or a crush. Baekhyun's song "Bambi" is a perfect example) -HeeSoo ignoring Minji's phone call: indifference to new jeans( not catching up their latest songs or albums, not looking for their promotions or ig posts etc..), ignoring the phoning alarm(new jeans fan app) -Minji erasing Hee Soo's leg on the chalkboard: The idol are aware of the fans leaving. Or The idol wants their fans to stay with them forever. But actually, that is not up to the idols. Only fans can decide whether they want to be the fans of the idol or not. They can be indifferent to the idols anytime just like HeeSoo did to New Jeans. you know, fangirling celebrities can be vain, empty since you can't really meet them or get to know them in reality. so when you face the reality, it may feel useless. And yet, New Jeans are aware of that, and they hope that the fans would keep the happy memories (while fangirling new jeans) real even if time passes( Or New Jeans are telling the fans like "I'll stay the same until then, so come back anytime")

Theory: the members always existed and Heesoo was her friend until there was an accident, in which all the members died except her, then she was left with a trauma and that represents the deer. On side A she still can't get over the trauma, that's why the deer doesn't leave and instead of abandoning the members at school she goes with them, on the other hand, on side B she manages to get over it, that's why the deer leaves and she goes with the boy.

ditto is supposed to bring back memories about your young ages and it really feels sad because it's all a memory that doesn't exist in the present, it's like existing with us

i think the cutest part of the storyline was that the character was named Ban HeeSoo, which in korean sounds like Bunnies which is they’re fandom name ♡

the way i interpreted it, the lone girl + newjeans were classmates. newjeans + lone girl were always seen practicing dance, with lone girl always recording them.. maybe she was something like a manager for their little "idol group" in school. newjeans is seen "making" their choreo while they're recording practice videos. they were best friends. there was an accident come winter time. lone girl is the only one to make it out alive, which is what her cast is for. all of newjeans unfortunately didn't make it. she sees the deer as a reminder of newjeans, who are watching over her, and as a reminder of the accident. lone girl, in her survivors guilt and depression, begins to have delusions of her best friends surviving the accident, continuing on like nothing had happened. everyone else at school is aware of the accident, and can't bring themselves to even talk to lone girl, for how could they begin to comfort her or help her realize that she's not living in reality? the only one who sees her, and keeps an eye on her, is the boy she always records. more on him later. heesoo (lone girl) walks through rain, with her umbrella, with newjeans. perhaps her survivor's guilt tells her, "you should bare this pain and this hardship alone", but with newjeans with her, she's never alone. however, delusions don't hold up to reality. she wakes up, after a day with newjeans, with them not there. nothing on her cast, because they've died. she was in denial. when she wakes up, and only her pinky is painted instead of minji's, she realizes all of this. and she moves on to anger. which is why she rejects newjeans, doesn't walk in the rain with them, ignores minji's phone call. she's angry and accepting that she is alone, and has moved on to believe her friends have left her. in her delusional state, the camera was her best friend. it held her best friends, so she carried it with her everywhere. once she's woken up, she uses the camera one last time, to check if the boy who's always watching her, is in fact real. not just in real life, but in her camera too. once she sees that he's tangible, she goes up to the roof and severs her final connection to newjeans. this boy helps her to move on, and remain in reality. this is the last time heesoo see the deer, and newjeans. she moves away, but ends up moving back home, and having spent the duration of the time in between moving on, looks back on her old videos one last time. she's moved on to acceptance, and realizes newjeans never left her, but instead were taken away. she's let go of the blame of the accident, onto herself and onto newjeans, and welcomes them back into her life once again warmly. fondly reminiscing on the times they were in school, dreaming of being performers one day. i thought it was a beautiful representation of going through the stages of grief.

My favorite song all time

I think that the deer was symbolization of the girl who imagined new jeans. Firstly, when you look back at the clip of the deer and the girl in the snow, I think that shows the girl being alone, because in the clip the deer had no friends or family visible, which showed the deer being lonely which is what I guess the girl felt.

In dreams analysis a deer mirrorise the stable full of life version of yourself if it appear to be walking away this means that you're losing dreams and hope and gonna start to walk on your own but I don't think it matches what they are going for in the mv

The 6th girl, Heesoo s being played by actress Park Ji Hu ( All of us are dead)

Here's my theory: For Ditto's side A, HeeSoo (the girl filming) sees NewJeans as her friends irl but NewJeans are imaginary friends and then a little bit towards the end, you will see her filming nothing only people in the background as NewJeans is not real but they're just her imaginary friends and then you will see the part where HeeSoo was seen standing with a deer opposite her, a deer actually symbolizes innocence so HeeSoo still had her innocence For Ditto's side B, When the MV started, you can see that NewJeans were being glitched out to signify that they're not real and then i believe a few minutes into the MV, you will see HeeSoo starting to focus in irl relationships with the boy she is filming and then you see HeeSoo on the rooftop dropping the camera which (I believe) signify that she's letting go of her memories with NewJeans to start afresh and you will see the exact same thing from Side A with HeeSoo standing with a deer opposite her, walking away. It means that now HeeSoo has all grown up, her innocence is starting to slowly fade away and at the LAST part, you will see a adult HeeSoo and the start from Side A and then sad music starts playing as if whatever recorded was actually a memory and then you see NewJeans on the TV and in the room HeeSoo was in as if she's remembering what she recorded when she was younger Or another way of saying this is that NewJean's Ditto Explains the relationships between Idols and their fans and the filming part sygnifies how fans can only see Idols through a screen not irl unless there is a concert Sry if you didn't understand anything here, I tried explaining it in my own words

You said 'Cookie' was the title track but it was ONE of the title tracks. There were 3 title tracks altogether which were Attention, Hype Boy and Cookie with Hurt being the only bside. Cookie was just the single that came out at the same time as the digital release of the album.

The thing is cookie is my favorite single but I feel guilty liking it because of the lyrics. I like how laid back and mellow it is.

the side A always makes me tear up a bit at the end idk why

these MVs creep me out a little, because it gives off something along the lines of her being in this friend group with NewJeans but they disappeared(one theory says that the 6 of them got in a car accident and only Heesoo survived) and now she has the illusions that they’re still here (•____•) like that’s creepy but super sad at the same time. But also some evidence, like the pink nail, some footage say otherwise. So from the comments this MV depicts the story of the fans( Bunnies-NewJeans’ fans). So maybe Heesoo got something bad happening in her life, hence the cast being there, like traumatic event and etc. so of course she is sad,lonely and kind of depressed and she finds her joy in NewJeans as a kpop fan would find joy in a group they stan. The reason why she films them and follows them is the same way kpop fans always watch and follow every move of the kpop groups that they stan. Also why a lot of people look at her as if she is cray because a lot of people judge kpop fans. But at some point maybe she got too involved in the group, NewJeans, that she started falling out(?) of reality/ her real life. So this boy helps her enjoy her real life and kind of overcome her developing obsession with the kpop group. Additionally in the MV we can see that NewJeans and Heesoo care about each other a lot, the same way NewJeans care about their fans(bunnies) and vice versa. And when they show older Heesoo she opens the box with the videocamera and footage(her memories of the time stanning them(?)) with also a bunny toy( bunnies-name of NewJeans’ fans). The reason why NewJeans all come back into her room at the end is either because Heesoo got nostalgia of that time or it’s because NewJeans are still there waiting for her as if all this time where Heesoo did not stan them did not exist. Like the way kpop groups are/were/will always welcome their fans back into the fandom no matter the circumstances and how much time passes.

I feel like it’s more a coming of age story. The deer represents innocence. It’s a girl growing up and losing her innocence as you see in the b side when the deer goes away and she has a boyfriend because she’s growing up. As you know when you grow up and get in a relationship you kind of ditch your friends. In the end she’s older and she goes back to see the memories of her youth and innocence with her friends.
