I have always said Celebrity Christianity is the problem. People lift up these people even more than they do Christ. It’s a cancer that needs to be dealt with. When Christ Embassy dealt with these “Gospel Music Superstars” most of them decided to leave the Ministry and continue their “stardom”, instead of humbling themselves down and remain ministers…I’m always very weary of people that want to be “Papas and Mamas” prematurely. Anyway believers need to stop following these people as though they are the ones that died on the Cross for our sins. Honor and respect gifts but don’t treat them like celebrities taking photographs and receiving autographs.

That's if 1) the one disciplining is indeed his father, 2) he's actually disciplining him and not abusing him (theres such an instruction like fathers don't provoke your children to wrath or anger).
