According to the pet store, it’s almost always a “fancy” morph.

Would love a video on this! So many BP’s look very different as adults. Given that is how they will look most of their life it would be great to understand which morphs change the most and what they look like as adults.

Insert those annoying people that bought a pastel or enchi and say, " I think it looks different than a regular pastel and has an extra gene in it, what do you guys think it is?"

I personally think you should avoid buying a snake from big chains and taking any advise from the people working there. Best to go with a reputable Breeder. They know exactly how to take care of the animal and will always want to have a good reputation for having healthy well taken care of animals.

its rare that i got into a big chain pet store since my town has a very good reptile and fish store and we have become friends with the owner, but every now and then when i do go into our petco i take a look into the snakes to see what they have espically since i found a calico amongst the normals, i have also talked with the petco manager and they buy their balls from a local breeder instead of importing

The snake that got me into this hobby was a piebald at petsmart. It was actually reasonably close to market value back in 2015 at about $400.00. It wasnt sexed but was a great example. It eventually dropped to around $250 but I still passed on it. Had no idea of the value then.

I bought a normal from a lady that had gotten it from a pet store but it is very dark compared to others I’ve seen once she started growing.I haven’t breed her to see what she has hidden inside.Shes just now up to size for breeding next season I may have to pair her to see what surprises I get.

At petsmart they call the normals normals but they call like I've seen maybe pastel something but they call them fancy ball pythons usually no names but honestly I've never had a problem with store bought snakes have bought 2 in the past and did well! But on the other hand is rather buy from somebody reputable and that has been doin this for a while like breeding/ or just keeping snakes for a long time.

Albinism is the lack of melanin, but the brown is also removed which contains high amounts of red pigment. That’s most likely what he meant.

@@sastampink3243 I actually did post a picture of him on there not long after I first got him, and they weren't much help at all. It would be easier if I knew what the pairing was for him, but I don't sadly. I had someone on the Morphmarket community page tell me that he could be a Super Pastel Enchi, but I'm still not sure.
