You do get some that just needed some input, and things get better. 2k definitely needs to base the system off your personal performance. I really hate that "You need to communicate" suggestion. I've played with randoms for years and nobody has ever had to coach me on "common sense." Especially on defense, I do NOT switch on screens because if I switch off my man, he's 100% going to score on that possession, never fails. I fight through every screen to stay on my man fr and then the mf ends up with the least amount of points on the opposing team 😂

man the matching people with people on the same level as you is a great idea. The only thing I would worry about is how long would it take to find those games and if people will to wait to find those game especially in random rec. side note- love the channel, if you still have that defensive menace pg build I definietly would love to see some more rec gameplay with that build soon

Valid point Dime 💯 Ranked or skilled based matchmaking is in all other most played games, why not 2k? I think another thing they can do is make a players individual team mate grade have most if not all of the effect on my performance and my shield level.

Had this happen to me yesterday. It felt like a jinx from an old teammate, Started out the day playing with some gold players while I'm at silver and I had this center who played very well alongside. Playing defense, grabbing boards, hitting shots and letting me get my assists. We played 2 games and he messaged me saying he hopes I get more teammates that are good. Next two games, I have 25 combined assists and only miss 2 shots while holding my men to less than 20 points combined but have a SF that gives up 40 and a PF who gives up 39 and we lose both games to teams filled with AI's.

What's funny is if you get a turnover, your grade drops drastically but, ballhogging pgs who shoots nothing but contested goes 2/18 grade never drops and they can stay in the game too. They can sell without any consequences whether it's constantly standing in the paint or out of bounds. 2k never does anything to them tho

2k needs to have a individual rating system, not just a team rating system. If the team win it should be a bonus, but if as a center get 15 plus rebounds, 5 blocks and at least 5 steals, and my pg,sg gives up 50 points. Why should that effect my game play as a center and versa versus. The system doesn't reward good play, it only rewards for points scored

Realest shit. Your performance plate shouldn’t matter if someone is selling you out. Should be the individual performance and not just points, good defensive plays, turnovers, no wack fouls etc

Bro rec match making is all jacked up. Like i didn't know there was this much stupid in the world let alone a game. Im a rec random warrior id say 60 percent of my games. Ive always been able to keep my win percentage in 60 to 70 percent range. But MOST importantly was able to have fun and as i progress find some hoopers and develop some running mates. This year its like im getting on just to get angry or just doing some sort or work. 2k finally achieved it i guess. Completely took every aspect of enjoyment out of the game. Time to start putting our hopes in 25 just like every year. Smh

Matching ppl with by performance rank is something I’ve been saying for ever! Especially when the game starts soon as ppl join up! But what be crazy is whoever be getting torched be playing ZERO defense! I mean always somewhere else reaching or just not up or there man! Then that make other ppl try to help his ass and others start scoring 🤦🏾‍♂️

Man I haven’t touched rec since last season. I’ve been fighting on both of my bigs to stay in mvp but some the randoms just make it impossible

100!! 2K needs to have Skilled Based Matchmaking based on Teammate Grades and Rank! Split lobbies based off Teammate Grade Below or Over B-. They need to protect your performance Grade if you finish with an A or A+.

Doesn't matter if the big pops and my big is waiting in the paint. The point isn't to switch either, it's to have the C show long enough for me to recover or to blitz the ball handler while another defender tags the roll man hoping the PG doesn't have the IQ to make a skip pass. Even then, you can still recover if you read the pass. You wanna talk IQ but you missing out on the easy shit man

Exactly why I don’t take 2k serious no more. Ain’t no way I average a A- teammate grade or build my way to gold or purple, just to get casual players. Whole team of black cards. Meanwhile the other team gold purple 😂

They need to revamp the system… i win with a good teammate grade and the bar goes down, make that make sense. 2k is the kings of implementing good stuff in the wrong way

I look at both there ranks like world rank and color rank tbh and it works all the time I added more randoms that way then not I be chillin frfr

Ngl you need facecam cause you would blow you real deal funny and actually tuff fr but you not boring to watch I click on every video

Thats why i try my best to get at least an A- or better grade every game so if i lose it goes down a tiny bit. Or sometimes even up if i lose because of these goofballs.. On my big I get my boards , locks up the big, and get assists set screens.. i dont even care about my points i just keep my eye on my grade and i notice i goes down because if your teammates messing up on defense.. "defensive breakdown" but you are glue to your man.. but your teammates are asleep at the wheel...getting to, and keeping a gold and Purple status is ridiculously hard playing solo..

No bullshit i have 90 win playing random rec and its because of the wing build i made, i just realized historically the teams with the best wing players or bigs win the most games and made an all around 6'8. You can only win so many games as a randoms guard i learned that the hard way 3-5 is the way🔑Edit: if you're good and you show that you don't have to be on a PG to get the ball in control if you're on a wing that can get boards and iso you can take control of the game

My build just says inside out score so people don’t really know what he is. He’s 6 foot eight. He’s played one through five and rec hard enough to believe it. Yes it’s happened. I played sinner. It blew my mind but usually run as power forward or small forward, but I’m very defensive With a lot of finishing badges and what comes with having an 80 three-point rating and a 75 with a 73 free-throw so mainly if someone doesn’t pass me the ball I just set screens and pics whether it pisses them off or not and that’s how I get my points and I have workhorse turned way up so I can be the one to grab the ball I average a few rebounds and when I play with people I do better because they hit me in the right spots and actually see me cutting realize I have 24 badges 20 defensive playmaking and 19 shooting

They definitely should change the performance meters u lose one game go down a color it takes 3-5 games to get back n your team grade go down for good plays 😢

Bruh I played a 5 out team the other day I’m rec w/ my IRLs. They whole offense ran thru the PG iso’ing. I clamped him up bro went 5/12 and had the ball in his hand the entire game. We still lost off mfs giving up back door cuts.
