I bought a new TIGER_900_GT_PRO (MY2023 model), & used my workshop-grade charger MATSON MW61224 to charge the battery. I have used this battery-charger for many years to charge my previous motorcycle (YAMAHA V-STAR XVS950A).
After about 3 hours of charging, the charger stopped charging as it indicated the battery on my TIGER_900 was fully charged. However, 2 alerts appeared on the motorcycle dashboard. They are the hazard-warning, & the 'spanner symbol' for service-alert.
I believe this is because the motorcycle ECU (Electronic Control Unit) did not like the high charging-current used by the MATSON charger. Join me in this video as I explain how I searched TRIUMPH official documents to find information on the maximum charging-current permitted by the ECU. I subsequently bought the TRIUMPH OPTIMATE DUO 2A charger for the motorcycle, & have been using it successfully on the motorcycle.

First check that the date and time is set correctly. If the battery was low or was disconnected at anytime the due service date will indicate incorrectly.

thanks. It did not lose date/time; but the charging rate from my non-Triumph charger was too high, & ECU did not like it. The ECU cleared the 2 alerts overnight.
